Would this game be a good place to start the series then? I know you recommended Yakuza 0 before (IIRC?) but this looks a bit more manageable for a first-timeryeah it was refreshingly short, main story is only 5 chapters and the plat is not time consuming at all.
…i get the feeling infinite wealth might take a little bit more time
so, it depends. y0 was (and is) my recommended starting point for the series, although you could also go with yakuza kiwami 1 (a remake of the original first game in the series) or yakuza: like a dragon (the first game in the series with the new protagonist)Would this game be a good place to start the series then? One slight correction on mine: The Last of Us Part II Remastered should have a platinum only and not 100% (though you're probably just saving yourself time for the inevitable update in 1-2 weeks )Updated through here.
TD's list is absolutely going to capsize by the time he finishes the Pixel Remasters.
Much to my surprise, I was able to power through the remainder of the game yesterday. In total, it took me 32 hours for the platinum across 4 playthroughs. Only 3 are required, but my first one was just for the story. I do understand how to play the game now, but like with most games, this one gets more fun the more powerful you get. Once you have a ton of health and the best weapons/upgrades, it's way more fun to fight enemies. The harder difficulties are actually easier as a result.Put me down for Bayonetta. More thoughts incoming tomorrow once I've had some sleep
Nice! Hope you had a lot of fun playing through the series, I know I did back in my PS2 days. Can't recommend the series enough!View attachment 11919
not that long bitchhhhhhh
have now platted every mainline yakuza game i’ll get around to ishin eventually but man it feels nice. only took me 6 years
Yeah it was apparently an update that went live about a week ago that broke it.I got that achievement. Not the plat of course, but I had no issue with it. Maybe they released an update recently that broke it?
That explains it. I nabbed the achievement before then.Yeah it was apparently an update that went live about a week ago that broke it.
Looking at the trophies you have left - you should definitely do it. The slaying 10 dragons won't take too long on your existing file, and then beating the game on nightmare is vastly overstated in difficulty. The PSN Profiles guide gives the platinum a difficulty of 8/10 - I would say it's a 4 or 5 out of 10 at best. I don't know if I even died 10 times on my nightmare play through.Nice. Inquisition is one of those games that I came very close to getting the Platinum on but then moved on and never got back around to it.
I'd say I should but don't know that I will, although could be a good way to prepare for DA4.
Let me know if you decide to try it. I'll give you a more detailed write-up on how to make it easier.Hmm. Yeah maybe I will then - only thing with Nightmare is it's been almost 10 years since I've played since I'm so rusty.
I'm assuming my save is on the cloud but guessing Nightmare would require a brand new save.
Hm.
Oof that sucks. I was thinking about going for GTA 5 next, so that is not encouraging.270 hours in GTA5 and a bunch of online trophies aren't popping for me. Deleted the game even and redownloaded the massive 50-some gig file over two days, and the problem still doesn't seem to be fixed. Been in contact with Rockstar support for over a month. Tearing my hair out, here.
Go for GTA4 instead so we can do the Auf Wiedersehen trophies togetherOof that sucks. I was thinking about going for GTA 5 next, so that is not encouraging.
Regrettably I bought GTA IV on Xbox 360 and I don't own a PS3. As far as I know, there's no way to play it on PS4 or 5?Go for GTA4 instead so we can do the Auf Wiedersehen trophies together
Got that added in!1 more platinum for me: Dragon Age Inquisition.
This can now be upgraded to 100%. Final time was 107 hours. The DLC is an absolute slog, although there are ways to make it more efficient than I did.1 more platinum for me: Dragon Age Inquisition. My game says I've put in about 95 hours. It can definitely be done in less than that. That time includes completing all 3 DLC (though I still have some trophies left in the last DLC). Also, you can beat the game in one play through instead of doing two. I would guess if you are insanely good, you could get the platinum in 50-60 hours.
Fuckin' madlad, yo. The amount of random bullshit GTA4 expects is honestly pretty crazy!finally fkn got it
This is strangely the case with a lot of AC games, and... it's sort of a mixed bag IMO. Like on the one hand they should definitely have stopped with the obnoxious "clean up the map" style achievements after the very first game, particularly if other parts of the game are better and the player experience would benefit more from doing those instead. On the other hand, it's kind of nice not having to do literally everything for the Plat/comp if it's not your jam. Which, I suspect, will be especially true whenever it comes time to handle Odyssey and Valhalla. The strange thing is that there are tons of side quests and the platinum requires barely any of them. You'd think they'd encourage you to play the more creative parts of the game rather than clearing the same camps over and over again.
GTA5 is worse but at least it's more fun.Fuckin' madlad, yo. The amount of random bullshit GTA4 expects is honestly pretty crazy!
Sorry, I'm pretty much finished the GTA5 trophies too. I just have to do some apartment heists again but that should only take a few hours I guess. If you are looking for one partner for GTA V, let me know. I think we're in wildly different time zones, and I'd need to rebuy PS+, but I've barely played online and am dreading those trophies (and ideally, the DLC ones too, but one step at a time for me).
AC: Origins can be upgraded to 100% Took just under 55 hours to get the platinum and beat all 3 DLC packs.Just got the platinum for Assassin's Creed: Origins today. I must admit that I found a strong parallel to Forspoken as far as getting the platinum goes. At least half of the time is spent just cleaning up random POIs. Granted, the map in this game is much denser, but it doesn't change the fact that the requirements for the plat are quite repetitive.

I'm going to start on the DLC later this weekend.
