I love these ideas so much! Moonsprout would absolutely not have participated though. Would've been fun to RP through thoughSo, if things went differently and we managed to not kill Carl, just knock his ass unconscious, I had some ideas. Obviously blackmailing and ripping him off completely. There was going to be me and Nac preparing a stew pot over a fire as Carl wakes, as I sharpen my ax for fish stew. I also thought that Moonsprout could deceive Carl by placing a shiny light on Carl and saying that ita a death spell that would trigger in like an hour unless Carl goes off to find us some treasure he has hidden. Potentially us letting him keep some of his gold if it's good stuff. Lastly, considering the random mushrooms in the cave, maybe one of the folks could've went and found some nasty hallucinogenic or very bad for your stomach ones to feed Carl as well.
If things went well he'd get set free.
... thanks to Carlson popping up we could've also grabbed him as a hostage. That would've went well with everyone, right?
Here lies Carl((are we able to make camp and heal up?))
Short Order casts mold earth to make a tombstone that reads: "Here lies Carl. He was eaten by the orc."
He was an asshole
But he was also a caring father. Here lies Carl
He was an asshole
Persuasion roll only occurred because DM also said "You don't NEED to fight it."Lesson to learn; Make up a random off-hand joke name within day 1 of starting the campaign, because of someone winning a persuasion roll, and a month later you're facing the moral implications of the party devouring said joke character.

Alright, so let's talk... Food.
So you do need to eat every day. If you're not in a town or somewhere you'll be provided a meal, you'd need to eat rations or hunt. Or, I guess, murder.
For non-prepared/ration meals, extra steps/rules apply.
Knowing how to prepare something safely and not poison yourself is going to normally be a survival check.
Cooking it will be another survival skill check, depending on what you're cooking.

- Some things will be poisonous/toxic.
- Some things will be so foreign to your body that you can't get any sustenance out of it.
- Some things come from realms infested with demons and might have STDs/curses. Or maybe they're blessed.
- Eating sentient creatures of any type, should word get around that you're about that kind of thing, may give you a particular reputation and change how people see you.
I've been wondering a whether I pushed things a little far into uneasy feeling territory with the whole Carl/Carlson thing.
Truth be told it was a spur of the moment thought to try to dissuade you from doing what you do and murdering Carl, but we know how that worked. I had a few more plans for Carl, but I guess I need to just let those kind of things happen and not necessarily try to nudge the narrative.
Oh well, we are where we are, so might as well ride see where we go and ride out the intra-party drama.

It is what it is. It's a fitting moral dilemma for this group. You have one gung ho for the murder, one totally against it, one that flew into an irrational rage and couldn't stop, one masochist and one fighting inner demons of morality.I've been wondering a whether I pushed things a little far into uneasy feeling territory with the whole Carl/Carlson thing.

Carlson is in the middle of his growth saga.
Hey now, I resemble that remark. It is what it is. It's a fitting moral dilemma for this group. You have one gung ho for the murder, one totally against it, one that flew into an irrational rage and couldn't stop, one masochist and one fighting inner demons of morality.
Hell nah, you didn't go too far. This is what this game is all about -- complex moral decisions and the fallout from themI've been wondering a whether I pushed things a little far into uneasy feeling territory with the whole Carl/Carlson thing.

It was interesting and fun. Added some spice to the game.
They're more based off of that same Moonsprout image, but it wanted to give him a beard and 50 years. Is that the voice in Short’s head telling him to kill?
Hey man, could I get a smoke? Thanks. And I'll take one for my friend around the corner too, yeah, thanks man.View attachment 11090
Caption challenge; Tell me what this Moonsprout is saying.
"Hey buddy my card's not working in the pump. Could I get like $10-15 to get my pirate ship home?"
Hey would you like to join our drum circle against cruelty to plants? We meet every Monday morning at 9am.I also got that vibe from this one.
Except he's also on ketamine or something.

Damn it, you got there before me.
Moonsprout grabs some starfish and assembles a starfish bikini on the snow person.
Just because it's made of sand doesn't mean it's not a snow person. It's just a sand snow person
Do you wanna build a mr. sandman? Bring me a dream!
Lets make him the cutest I've ever seen!
I never see you anymore.
Come out the door, his lonesome nights are over.
Sandman, we used to be best buddies.
And now we're not.
Don't have nobody to call my own.
Do you wanna build a mr. sandman.
Please turn on your magic beam.
Okay, bye...

It's honestly so telling of the patriarchy to even dare assume someone's state of matter. You don't know if they're gender fluid. They could be gender solid, or gender gaseous instead!Did you just assume it's material?!?!?!

So @Benif they roll a nat 1 against those zombies, are you going to have them break the chains and get loose?
Who says I'm waiting for them to roll a Nat-1?
You see, the zombies are actually just husks of flesh, hollowed out by the burrowing suckers of a Kraken and puppeteered as a macabre lure. It's just waiting for more food to show up before it rips through the timbers of the ship, directly above it's abyssal maw, and swallow everyone whole.
I mean, oh no zombies lol.
I mean, oh no zombies lol.
Maybe he just falls down a lot… he is drunk all the time
Depends on how high Moonsprout isHey SO, how many mini-Moonsprouts would it take to carry me around the beach?
