Alright, so let's talk... Food.
So you do need to eat every day. If you're not in a town or somewhere you'll be provided a meal, you'd need to eat rations or hunt. Or, I guess, murder.
For non-prepared/ration meals, extra steps/rules apply.
Knowing how to prepare something safely and not poison yourself is going to normally be a survival check.
Cooking it will be another survival skill check, depending on what you're cooking.

Truth be told it was a spur of the moment thought to try to dissuade you from doing what you do and murdering Carl, but we know how that worked. I had a few more plans for Carl, but I guess I need to just let those kind of things happen and not necessarily try to nudge the narrative.
Oh well, we are where we are, so might as well ride see where we go and ride out the intra-party drama.
