Yeah that was fun. Can't believe you didn't use my meat grinder idea though and go into intricate gory detailThe best part was him making requests on how he killed his victims. Made my stories a bit easier to figure out.
Yeah narrowing the suspect pool really helpsAnd there it is. I think that should just about wrap it up unless Tubby can somehow flip it back on Zell...
Him murdering somebody on night 0 just set the whole tone of this game in motion. I have been #teamcanadaguy since.
I'll play if I can get killed night 0 and just sit in the dead chat the whole game!Omg she posted
Everyone peer pressure her to play the next game that starts up
I mean, that could totally happen! Only one way to find out.I'll play if I can get killed night 0 and just sit in the dead chat the whole game!
You could ask @Mark to be be allowed to read the dead thread whenever you wantI'll play if I can get killed night 0 and just sit in the dead chat the whole game!

I really appreciate that. Almost gave up on it a couple days ago cause I've been having some issues with depression and been having problems getting motivated to do ANYTHING but it seemed like a few of y'all really dug them so I didn't want to let anyone down.@VashTheStampede I live for your storytelling. I might refuse to play unless the host does this

Now that we're getting into the endgame, I was hoping for some feedback from people. I've always liked the concept of "start, stop, continue", so if anyone has any suggestions for future games along the lines of what they'd like me to start, stop, or continue doing in the future, I would appreciate that.
I could use one minor thing while I've got your attention. I was waiting for the end of the game to reveal the REAL name of the game and I figure we're close enough now.Personally, I think the storyline aspects of it adds a nice level of depth to these games that, as a non-player, makes it stand out among the Wolf games. I get that there are limitations for what’s visible to me, since I’d assume a large chunk of content goes on in the DM’s, but it adds a level of cohesion to the game that you don’t really get from the cross-pollination of RP posts and shitposts.
I’d love to see this game continue on and keep expanding, and like I told Zell… if there’s anything I can do to help facilitate that, just lemme know.
I keep reading it as BTS mafia and thinking there's a new KPOP themed gameI could use one minor thing while I've got your attention. I was waiting for the end of the game to reveal the REAL name of the game and I figure we're close enough now.
Could you change the sub-forum name to "Mafia Legacy"? I got the whole idea of unlocking roles and such from legacy-style boardgames and the name just hits better than having my username initials in front.

I’ve mentioned some of this to Cole and I know it is in the works for future versions and I’m super excited for itNow that we're getting into the endgame, I was hoping for some feedback from people. It's hard to judge the balance right now with all the PMing shit that happened. So one thing I was working on that I held back from the first game is the idea that each member of the mafia would have a tell or an affectation (like how Jimmy Two Times in Goodfellas says he's gonna "get the papers, get the papers"). Something they would have to put in at least one post per day that could be used as evidence, yet still common enough that other players may do it too.I’ve mentioned some of this to Cole and I know it is in the works for future versions and I’m super excited for it
My only criticism is the trial feature - there is no evidence presented, so there are only minimal benefits
- protect one character
- stop night actions for one character
Other than that, if we arrest someone on suspicion but are not sure, there is nothing new presented that allow for us to change our minds
If the mafia converts the dirty cop, they should be allowed to kill someone in jail once
Don’t stop the stories unless it becomes too much work for you. The amount of work required for the stories and providing evidence feels like a lot
After this game, a Big Al that brings up food. Because food seems to get brought up a lot.So one thing I was working on that I held back from the first game is the idea that each member of the mafia would have a tell or an affectation (like how Jimmy Two Times in Goodfellas says he's gonna "get the papers, get the papers"). Like one idea was that they'd have to say the name of an animal at least once per day. But they could be slick about it and say something like "yeah I was just fishing for a mobster" and that would count for their animal.

A list of potential tells? Kind of like the rolls are, but randomly assigned separately from that? Now that I think on it, maybe the tells aren't public knowledge at the beginning of the game, but are somehow revealed as the game progresses...
Hopefully, if there will be required tells, you'll eliminate the ability to talk about the game outside of the the thread. We already saw how organizing outside of the thread took away any advantage the mafia had. Requiring tells would make it impossible. So one thing I was working on that I held back from the first game is the idea that each member of the mafia would have a tell or an affectation (like how Jimmy Two Times in Goodfellas says he's gonna "get the papers, get the papers"). Bless his heart. We love him for it too. This game is only so close because cg killed half the town.

Shiiit… he could run wild with that if he wanted to. Be thankful y’all ain’t playing something I came up with… I’d have “dead” players limited to a specific user group and forum so they couldn’t communicate beyond their own people even via DM, separate sub-forums for both sides, and permissions based on specific roles (seer/medium/whatever could view dead forum, but couldn’t post… crooked cop has access to mafia forum and can post/communicate… etc.). Sure, it would take a little more work up front to set up compared to this current configuration, but it would definitely add to the immersion when each player could have “powers” other players don’t… I’d be doing all kinds of crazy shit with the forums to encourage cooperative gameplay and rogue players alike.
All these possibilities are making me excitedA list of potential tells? Kind of like the rolls are, but randomly assigned separately from that?

Sub forums and sub sub forumsI’ve been game, but the idea of pulling Wolf from FOG and giving it its own dedicated space to fully utilize those options was shot down. I simply can’t employ those options in FOG without affecting non-players to some degree, or affecting players from accessing the general FOG forum. However, if Vash wants to go that route and y’all wanna see how far we can push the forum software to accommodate this game… I’m down for it as long as I have a couple days in between games to work with y’all and figure out all the details. I don’t know enough about all of the specific roles, so I’d have to have someone walk me through that part and certain aspects of the game… and then from there I’m confident that I could “build” something to set Vash up for one hell of a game.

Sounds cool but one thing I think is that the "good guys" wouldn't get their own forum, as the key component of the game is the good guys don't know who the other good guys areRealistically, it would be likely be as simple as a “City” main forum where the main gameplay takes place, a “sketchy Italian restaurant” sub-forum for the mafia, a “city hall” sub-forum for the citizens/cops/detectives/whatever, and a “morgue” sub-forum for the dead if I ain’t missing anything. Both sides having a sub-forum would “fix” Vash’s outside of game communication issue, since he’d be able to monitor all communication that counts. There wouldn’t need to be an archive like FOG has since the main forum could just have the active threads stuck and the old threads can sink in chronological order. As far as what people actually see… if you’re a cop, you’re only seeing the “city hall” sub-forum, but if you’re a crooked cop you’re seeing both until you die, and then you’d be able to see whichever forums and have whatever permissions Vash decides.
