Not surprised to see this. Boston's goaltending and the effectiveness of forecheck and zone exits are the difference. For the Leafs, it's the usual issues that continue to plague them. Defensive giveaways, mediocre at best goaltending, and a lack of production. Granted, we've had some good looks, but once again, we're getting out-goalied.

It's gonna be a short series unless the Leafs can clean that up.

One of the reasons it sucks to have 1A and 1B goalies is that I think Swayman should have played this game too, but both need to play if we want to keep it going.

It's quite the crossroads to be at. One one hand, you want to keep riding the hot hand, but on the other, the 1-2 rotation between Swayman & Ullmark has worked well for Boston, plus it makes it harder for opponents to have to solve 2 excellent netminders.

To his credit though, grand larceny from Ullmark all around. He definitely had Boston's back tonight. The offense however, not so much.

Yet despite that, it was still a close game for us. Leafs got to take advantage of every single chance they get, because they're not going to get many if Swayman & Ullmark are on top of their game.

Whether Nylander plays tonight or not will be a game time decision. If he can, Robertson will be coming out of the lineup. Aside from that, the Leafs lineup remains unchanged.
