One for the fans before we head off to the links? This game was a statement
And another one
It was an impressive save, thankfully McDavid put it away anywayOh God that play was the most dramatic empty net goal I've ever seen
With a 4 point night tonight, only 5 points off now. He's currently 9 points off tying Gretzky for most points in a playoff year (47). Which is pretty much out of reach, but with games like last night, not completely unattainable.
Crazy thing is, Gretzky did it in 18 games!?
Yup, sufficed to say, the Tkachuk trade unfortunately hasn't panned out well on Calgary's end. Shame to see he appears to be on a downward trajectory.Flames trade Markstrom to the Devils, so definitely going full rebuild now.
The albatross of that huberdeau contract though.....
Hope you and canadaboy have a good time!At a wrestling show with my son tonight so I won't have any commentary for the game this timeView attachment 17302
Cup really doesn't want to go to the retirement homes in Florida.Looks like we'll be getting that game 7 in there.
This would be one of those rare times where I think they might actually do it.Win or lose, McDavid has to win the Conn Smythe, right?
Considering he broke one of Gretzky's records, that's something that cannot be ignored. This would be one of those rare times where I think they might actually do it.
Only thing better would be if game 7 was in Edmonton. The boos for Bettman would be legendaryOh, if Edmonton can win game 7, it'd be the ultimate kick in the balls for Gary Bettman. Loses his precious Arizona Coyotes and Florida getting reverse swept by Edmonton in one fell swoop.
It'd be a glorious day for the sport.
Good, I'm glad you both had a great time, and that is so amazing that it operates out of the old Stampede ground!! It's a little extra tidbit for you, if not for your son, and hell yeah, it's awesome to see Bret there!!We had a blast! It's a local promotion run by Bret Hart's sons, and runs in the same building Stampede Wrestling used to run back in the day, so lots of history and nostalgia (not that any of that means much to my son lol)
Bonus Bret Hart!

Go Not Oilers but Oilers! The ring announcer would keep giving score updates, and it was probably 60/40 boos to cheers. One guy I heard say he's cheering for the Canadian team but refuses to say he's cheering for Edmonton lol.
Ah, Boring Sean Monahan, loved that so much.Lots of copium going around in Calgary right now. But like, we had Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Bennett and Monahan and pissed that all away for fuck all
Yeah, Calgary had a promising core right there, but unfortunately the key pieces didn't want to stay. Gaudreau ended up leaving for Columbus and Tkachuk, following in his father's footsteps, made moves to get himself out of Canada.Lots of copium going around in Calgary right now. But like, we had Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Bennett and Monahan and pissed that all away for fuck all
Bwhahaha I didn't know Boring Sean Monahan was known outside of Calgary
Oh absolutely! That was quite the rage in a couple of communities, perfectly encapsulated his personaBwhahaha I didn't know Boring Sean Monahan was known outside of Calgary
I remember an interview where someone showed him the account and he was just like "I find that funny"Oh absolutely! That was quite the rage in a couple of communities, perfectly encapsulated his persona
