Yeah, protect women! From women who dare to need to pee while having a birth defectMmhm. And the ones protecting and perpetuating the TERFs/"Gender Critical movement" are the very misogynists those people are supposedly keeping women safe from.
It's lunacy.
Ayuh, and because all trans women have penises, right?Yeah, protect women! From women who dare to need to pee while having a birth defect
Yeah, but then we're just freaksAyuh, and because all trans women have penises, right?
....Except that when they undergo bottom surgery, pee pee goes choppy choppy. So, there goes that argument out the window.
I don't care what kind of BS labels they want to throw upon trans women. They are women too.Yeah, but then we're just freaks
I don't care what kind of BS labels they want to throw upon trans women. They are women too.
They don't see that side of it, they only see dudes in dresses. That trans men exist is nowhere near their radarMeanwhile, trans men in women's bathrooms after TERFs get what they want.
...Oh wait.
Damn right you do!
Precisely, and now you see just how stupid their viewpoint really is.Meanwhile, trans men in women's bathrooms after TERFs get what they want.
...Oh wait.
See? That's the problem. They were trained in the ancient ways of thinking. Perhaps if they were trained in the new way, they would've stood a chance. They don't see that side of it, they only dudes in dresses. That trans men exist is nowhere near their radar
Well I was trained in bitch-fu, so they can bring it on!See? That's the problem. They were trained in the ancient ways of thinking. Perhaps if they were trained in the new way, they would've stood a chance.
And I will happily team up with you. You've got my support!Well I was trained in bitch-fu, so they can bring it on!
No, no one wants to see me in a dress, that's for sure!Speaking of dresses, we need to get you in one, Crystal. I think you'd look cute.
It never hurts. You might actually feel good in one.No, no one wants to see me in a dress, that's for sure!
I'm not saying I dislike them, I just don't look good in them, at all.It never hurts. You might actually feel good in one.
Hopefully with time, that improves.I'm not saying I dislike them, I just don't look good in them, at all.
Witch hunts. Nice to see we never learn from history. This is disheartening to hear. A masked mob of around 200 people in Greece chased a trans couple out of a film festival.

The mob hurled bottles at the couple, and one of them was punched in the face.www.lgbtqnation.com
In an ideal world, people would look back on the crimes committed against humanity, the countless wars that have broken out which have resulted in the lives of millions lost and left civilizations in ruin, and use that as a valuable lesson to remind us of the consequences when this kind of shit gets out of hand.Witch hunts. Nice to see we never learn from history.
I hate to compare the current attacks on trans people to other events in history, because no doubt those events were far worse, but...there are a LOT of comparisons to historical events that are popping up over and over again. We're following a similar path as we have done in the past, and it leads to horrible places. In an ideal world, people would look back on the crimes committed against humanity, the countless wars that have broken out which have resulted in the lives of millions lost and left civilizations in ruin, and use that as a valuable lesson to remind us of the consequences when this kind of shit gets out of hand.
Unfortunately, that is not the case. The old saying rings especially true here if we're not careful. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
As do I. There were other tragic events that were far worse in comparison, but the scary part is the parallels between them.I hate to compare the current attacks on trans people to other events in history, because no doubt those events were far worse, but...there are a LOT of comparisons to historical events that are popping up over and over again. TERF Island has been beyond redemption for a good while now, and will remain that way for the foreseeable future.
Pretty sure a decent chunk of the idiots are still planning and working towards abolishing the NHS anyway, and the damn thing already doesn't work:
So I guess the silver lining, if we want to call it that, is that functionally the ruling probably doesn't matter anyway? And as long as these treatments and medications aren't expressly illegal, and institutions exist beyond NHS England...
I mean, yes, it's a matter of time. But time is plenty important right now!
We're seeing genocide and ethnic cleansing in a variety of areas right now, so... yeah...
We'll not even get into places like South Korea or Iran (or the Middle East at large I guess) and how they view and treat women. And women are half the population!
Like this shit in particular completely and utterly removed my ability to calm the fuck down for a solid week:
Killing of Nika Shakarami - Wikipedia
en.wikipedia.org
...And we'll leave it there for now lest I get myself worked into a tizzy again.
I can attest to it being the same up here here as well. We've got people protesting, watch dog groups forming with the intent of grouping together to target trans people, and it seems like the Conservatives are following suit with the GOP. I remember Doug Ford speaking on the topic and he uttered the same bullshit about parent's rights.Well this was a depressing read - and if you're ever wondering how it is in Canada, it's more or less the same.
A town about thirty minutes from me is met with anti-LGBTQ+ protests every weekend and there's groups of counter protestors out there.
Every weekend.
This article is older but it's basically an extension of this and still ongoing:
Cross-country rallies against 'gender ideology' in schools meet with counter-protests
Thousands of people gathered in cities across Canada on Wednesday for competing protests, screaming and chanting at each other about school policies on gender identity.www.ctvnews.ca
Positive news is where the victim survives. Basically.Completely understandable, and basically where those of us in the trans community have been for a good while. I mean, what even is positive news for trans folk - getting bills passed? Being treated like an actual person for a change? It's... super exhausting. The only thing there really can be is a slew of negative news and a small slathering of stories to keep hope alive.
Yes, I'm Canadian also. A lot of people think it's better for LGBTQ+ people here and to an extent, it really depends, but unfortunately we're seeing the shit down south trickling up here too. Granted, I wouldn't exactly go out of my way to say LGBTQ+ people are accepted with open arms here either. They sure as fuck weren't back in the day, I can tell you that right now.Wait, are you Canadian too?
I'm in Ontario so I'm continually subjected to Doug Ford's garbage, the Conservative nonsense, and the... what I'll only refer to as extreme discrimination for now.
A far cry from what a lot of people think they know about Canada.
It's the belief that every time a new sector of the LGBTQ+ community is highlighted as the new evil, they're automatically assumed to be preying on children. Gets the idiots riled up every single time and it always leads to violence and vitriol. There's never a single shred of truth behind it, but I'll be damned if it doesn't work to get the blood boiling on the ignorant side. You'd think these people had their whole families brutally murdered by the community.
I've noticed thematically it always seems to be the case and many times those suffering from low intelligence who are very gullible gobble this rhetoric up. I chalk it up to fearmongering and a poorly hidden attempt at a powerplay when at minimum it demonstrates similarities to other mass hate events, but a select group of history always seem to allow history to repeat itself. It's the belief that every time a new sector of the LGBTQ+ community is highlighted as the new evil, they're automatically assumed to be preying on children. Now I'm being reminded of that Goddamn Freedom Convoy. People banding together to protest against the COVID-19 protocols....you know, the ones that are designed to keep the general public safe and prevent the spread of infection.... -________________________-Remarkable, isn't it? Can't get people to rally and march for a literal laundry list worth of actually important causes, but they'll show up in droves over mask mandates and... where, precisely, it is okay for a person to take a piss.
Good news rarely comes by for trans people, but when you do happen to come across it, you can't help but to smile, or even shed a tear of happiness. Warms my heart whenever a trans person receives overwhelming support from their inner circle or becomes an inspiration to others.Completely understandable, and basically where those of us in the trans community have been for a good while. I mean, what even is positive news for trans folk - getting bills passed? Being treated like an actual person for a change? It's... super exhausting. Their version of dealing with it consists of doing everything in their power to ensure trans kids don't have a say in the matter. It's fucked up, anyone who comes out is basically publicly outed & given a one-way ticket to what they call "re-integrative therapy", which is basically a legal loophole around conversion therapy. That's what Texas is doing in the US too, with Child Protective Services. Florida has the Don't Say Gay bullshit.
Obviously burying a kid's head in the sand doesn't make us go away, it just makes it so that when they find out about us - and themselves - they're not properly equipped to handle it. Which stunts their own development and limits their options when, invariably, the ones capable of escaping the Red State Death Spiral moves to California or New England or whatever and gets immense culture shock.
Gives the conservatives some brownie points with their fanbase too, much of whom blindly fall in line with their policy like fucking sheep. It's the belief that every time a new sector of the LGBTQ+ community is highlighted as the new evil, they're automatically assumed to be preying on children. Yep, it's the same points over and over gain. X group is evil, because we don't understand them. Also they're after our kids!!I've noticed thematically it always seems to be the case and many times those suffering from low intelligence who are very gullible gobble this rhetoric up. Very true.Gives the conservatives some brownie points with their fanbase too, much of whom blindly fall in line with their policy like fucking sheep.
Trans won't be incidental for generations. Just like society still highlights the fact that we have a man who saved someone from something, awesome! But if he's not white, then he's not a man, he's a ___ man. We'll never learn.Fucking awesome, but the trans part should be incidental at best. Not, as the BBC would definitely phrase it, "Transgender Athlete Saves Child."
It gets more dumber than that. When the mandates were lifted, they proclaimed it as a major victory and started drawing up more demands. One of them being to make the mandates in the future illegal. I wish I was shitting. -_________-The pro-COVID rallies, yes.
Because what else would they be called, realistically? Especially the ones protesting against mask mandates that had already expired you absolute fucking buffoons.
Ugh. I can't love this kid, it's queer as fuck.Tennessee introducing a bill which introduces protections for anti-LGBTQ+ foster parents.

Not your problem, kid, we're all queer as fuck, the odd ones are the assholes who reject kids for being themselves.

To elaborate a little, this is actually an incredibly fucked up story. The TL;DR is something to the effect of:Nex Benedict's death being ruled a suicide.
