So I’m a very casual player, some days I won’t play more than a few ladder matches. My two favorite decks, I don’t know what the current meta is, are on reveal and destroy. How can I improve them? Any advice would be appreciated

For destroy, I used to have magik but swapped her for wave. Not sure if I should put magik back in. I am also waiting for venom so I can plug him in for deathlock

For reveal, I have absorbing man, but I took him out once I got Wong.

I've never had it take more than 15 seconds but I'm guessing at lower Collector Level there's fewer people in that mode?

This mustn't be true, I've been playing against the other pools - in conquest mode at least.

Yeah this guy made a couple dumb moves. The Odin is obvious, but also why commit so hard in deep space. Like it's obvious as a reveal deck you are gonna avoid it.

I want to get some more crowns to get all the stuff in the shop to get the card, but now all the decks I'm facing are... not stuck in pool 1 like me.

I like how the game encourages you to play with all the cards with the leveling system.

I was just busted out of a gold conquest in match 3, it was a good fight, he just had some cards I'd never seen before and was having trouble combatting it.

as I said to Vash, I have to get better at knowing when to snap/retreat/etc. That keeps getting me fucked.

I finally made an Apocalypse discard/destroy deck, its fun to play with, but I feel like things have to align in a fortunate way in order to win with it. I'm much more reliable with my standard deck.

Yeah knowing when to snap and when to retreat is pretty key to climbing.

You just have to learn the types of decks and what sort of plays to be expecting from your opponents. With your poker-brain, I think you should do well.

So far I've seen just assorted decks, the discard/destroy kind of deck, and I'm pretty sure I saw a deck that relied on having a ton of cards in your hand still and not a lot in play. That was a wild fight. I only won it because I stole his Dino Dragon thingie (the one that adds +2 for every card in your hand.)

Yeah you are probably only Series 1 still so that's gonna limit your exposure on the ladder. That way though, you should slowly be seeing new cards and mechanics showing up, so a little easier to learn

how do I know what series I am in? and when do I level up?

Series refers to the range of cards you are collecting. Series 1 is up to collection level 214, which means as you are going up through that, you will collect each Series 1 card, then Series 2 is up to 486, then Series 3 is from then on until you collect all the series 3 cards (this is where most cards are). Series 4 and 5 at this point are either collected from Spotlight Caches or purchasing with Tokens.

All new cards will start out in Series 4/5, then maaaaaybe drop down eventually. they used to routinely drop but they've recently changed the way 4/5 cards drop and get collected so who knows.

What I love about this game is I don’t seem to get upset or frustrated if I lose. It’s weird, other games frustrate me, but this doesn’t. The most frustrating thing for me is the lack of gold without spending money because I want more variants

there's an element of luck in locations/card draws.

but typically I find if I lose, I either got beat or I made a mistake.

I dunno how many games I have at this point, but there are only a few I can say "that was lucky". yesterday I had one of those "hulk showdowns" where if I guess correctly, I win, if I don't, I lose.

all I had to do was put mine where his was, I was wrong. that's "luck", but otherwise it's usually all something specific.

Discard can be so fickle. Like even if you get draws in a good order, you play a card it is discards the ONE card you cannot have discarded

Not that I’ve noticed, it seems to just redistribute it again, so it is like playing Ham on Wong, where he will piggify a pig. Note: do not play Ham immediately after wave, he will piggify a random card. Last time I did that, I piggified wasp .

I still need a card or two to help me get more power when I can’t have onslaught, iron man, and LT together

I have used Ham in Kamar Taj (same effect as wong) and did manage to hit two different same cost cards. That felt good.
