How to Play:
I will PM each of you a hand of 5 cards dealt from a standard deck, except I changed the suit names to confuse everyone:

Hearts = Shrooms
Diamonds = Stars
Clubs = Flowers
Spades = Shells

You will tell me which cards you want to keep, and which you want to swap out for new cards, up to your entire hand. Once I have a response from everyone, I will update the thread with everyone's final hand and the winner of that round. No dealer or betting, but otherwise typical poker rules. Aces are highest value, all suits are equal value. The player with the best hand gets a point. In the event of two winning players having the exact same hand, both get a point. After three rounds, the player with the most points wins. If multiple players are tied, there will be tiebreaker round(s) to determine the winner.



If I miss something, let me know. Keeping things relatively simple since I'm not much of a gambler, but I wouldn't be surprised if I fuck something up still.

Reverse Mushroom - 5 coins: Choose yourself or another player. When rolling their dice, the target must move backwards instead, but can choose any direction at junctions. Stacks with poison.
Poison Mushroom - 5 coins: Choose yourself or another player. The target can only roll 1-3 on their next movement. Stacks with reverse.
Bowser Suit - 10 coins: Steal 20 coins from each and every player you pass while wearing this. Does not include anyone on the space you start your turn from.

Buried Treasure
(Free-for-All)

How to Play
Everyone will dig through the earth trying to find a buried treasure chest. Players will take turns choosing a direction to dig on the grid. Options are Up-Left, Up-Right, Right, Down- Right, Down-Left, or Left. Please specify both directions when moving diagonally. You will move one space per round. Most terrain is easy to dig through, but the rocks in the middle (tinted red) will take two turns to travel through the first time (Wario's ass on the grid below is a rock tile, it's just hard to see). You may uncover stray coins or signs pointing toward the treasure along the way.

Because anonymity isn't super important, gameplay will happen in the thread. There will be a random turn order, but you may take your turn as early as you wish because all movement technically happens simultaneously. I'll update the board after each round. If you stick to the order, try and tag the next person. If multiple players happen to uncover the treasure in the same round, we'll do a roll-off to decide who was faster. First player to find the treasure wins.


Characters and treasure location were chosen randomly, so there is some luck involved, but the treasure won't be close to anyone's spawn. The first handful of rounds will be very uneventful.
