He walks forward and passes Goomba and Yoshi. They mistake you for Bowser, shit their pants and drop all their coins. Toad lets out a shrill GWA HA HA and continues forward, passing Boo. Boo shrieks and hands over 19 coins as well. Toad continues forward and lands on a Happening Space. The sandpit below begins to rumble. As Toad returns to his normal self, he and Boo are sucked into the pit and spit out at the other side of the map.

Yoshi pulls out his new Barter Box with absolutely devilish intentions as he notices Boom Boom's shiny new acquisition. He raises it high and things start to wriggle around within. After a few moments, the box opens to reveal some items.

Yoshi and Boom Boom have traded items!
Yoshi receives a Cellular Shopper, a Skeleton Key, and another Barter Box!
Boom Boom receives nothing!
Yoshi's original Barter Box disappears upon use.

Yoshi heads forward along the north side of the board and lands on an item space. You're already holding three items, so nothing happens.

A wide grin spreads across Boo's face as Dry Bones hands him the coins and whispers the name of his target.

Boo vanishes and reappears behind Toad.

With that, Boo retreats into his hut, leaving you with a large stash of coins. Taking into account the 5 coins you paid Boo for his services, you now have 32 coins.

"Ooh, this could be your lucky day! Hit the last block and tell us what's changing hands!"
Dry Bones gives the final block a good uppercut...


"Then it's decided! Goomba will give Dry Bones TWO stars! It looks like your luck's turned around. What an amazing turn of events! Congratulations!"
Goomba is summoned and the stars are transferred over. Dry Bones jumps up and down ecstatically, while Goomba looks dejected and just faceplants himself.

Mini-Game Time! Last one before the homestretch.

Musical Mushroom

How to Play:
It's a ladder match. Once the imaginary music stops, everyone rushes to get the chest hovering above the center shroom. Players must jump to each level of mushroom platforms, fighting their way to the top starting from purple, to blue, to the big one in the middle. If two players choose the same mushroom, they will fight. The loser of the fight gets stunned for one round, and the winner can continue to the next tier of mushrooms. We will be using the rock, paper, scissors system from before to decide encounters:

Everyone will PM me the number of a mushroom they wish to jump to and an action they will take if they meet an opponent on the same mushroom. If two people choose the same action, both will be stunned.
(3-way fights: Works the same as rock, paper, scissors if there is an obvious winner. Stalemates stun all three players. If two of the three players would win with the same action (Ex: rock, rock, scissors), both the winners will be stunned and the loser advances instead.
4+ players: More complicated, but I have a way to decide that as well should it happen.)

Anyone standing alone or victorious on a purple mushroom at the end of a round will then PM me the letter of the nearby blue mushroom they want to go for (I'll tell you your choices). The first players who make it to a blue mushroom safely will automatically be sent to the center mushroom to go head to head for the treasure chest in the next round.

It should make more sense as we go, and I'd rather do this one step/round at a time than try to explain every scenario. Just know that I've playtested it.

You are all standing on the ground around the clearing above. Everyone PM me both the number (1-12) of a purple mushroom and an action (punch, jump, run, ground pound, or kick).
I'll update what happens in Round 1 once I have a number and action from everyone.

Goomba is stunned next round.
Boom Boom and Yoshi both go for mushroom 5. Yoshi leaps into the air and goes into a flipping motion, but before he can slam, Boom Boom dodges and jumps on his head after he lands.
Yoshi is stunned next round.
Toad, Lumalee, Boo, and Dry Bones meet no opposition at their respective mushrooms. All non-stunned players move onto the next round.

Everyone but Yoshi and Goomba send me another PM with an action just like the previous one, but choose a blue mushroom this time from the following.

@VashTheStampede your options are mushrooms B, C, or D.
@shortkut your options are A, B, or C.
@Jon your options are C, D, or E.

Luigi and Dry Bones meet at mushroom E. Both jump up and simultaneously kick each other in the face. Luigi and Dry Bones are stunned.
The rest meet no opposition at their mushrooms.
@Ben , @shortkut , @Gloom-is-good , and @VashTheStampede will all jump to the middle mushroom next and fight each other. I just need an action from each of you in PM.

(In a 4-way fight, if everyone chooses different actions, the winner will be decided based on the number of strengths and weaknesses of each chosen action in comparison to the others chosen. For example, if Punch, Jump, Run, and Ground Pound are chosen, the Jumper will win. Ignoring Kick, Jump and Ground Pound both beat two of the others while having only one weakness, but Jump beats Ground Pound.)

Goomba and Yoshi are also free to move to a blue mushroom now, but I won't bother pinging them unless everyone above gets knocked out.
