It's Mini-Game Time!

How to Play
All players will start by PMing me a number 1 through 18 as well as a direction they'd like to run in the first round (left, center, or right). Whoever guesses the correct number will find a Mega Mushroom in the block they hit and will temporarily grow to a gargantuan size (if multiple people guess correctly I'll flip a coin or something). Then, anyone who flees in the same direction that the giant player is charging will be hit and knocked out of the game. The giant player has three rounds to eliminate as many players as they can (including the round they powered up on) before they shrink. After each round I will update who died in the thread and everyone remaining will PM me a new direction. If anyone is left when the first player shrinks, players will PM me a new number and the game will continue until one remains.

Everyone eyes a block they like and jumps for it as soon as the game starts. It's chaos as several blocks poof, revealing nothing inside, and players rush to punch open another. Block number 13 was especially popular, as Lumalee, Boo, and Dry Bones all slam into each other fighting over the mushroom it surely held inside (it didn't). Finally Yoshi punches a block from below and finds what everyone was after. Everyone flees as they watch him take on his true dinosaur nature. Yoshi wastes no time running directly forward down the middle of the room. Goomba, Boo, Dry Bones, and Boom Boom narrowly miss getting trampled as they dive to either side. The rest weren't so lucky. Luigi, Lumalee, and Toad all get completely bulldozed by the green monstrosity and are eliminated.

Yoshi will be giant for 2 more rounds.

Yoshi collides with the wall of the room, then turns and sprints left, smashing through Dry Bones and Boo. Boom Boom heads down the middle, and Goomba strangely hovers up into the air somehow? As he collides with the opposite wall, the others have a short moment to assess the situation as Yoshi shakes it off and turns around. Surely he won't go the same direction twice. Everyone agrees, and hugs the left wall as the dinosaur begins to charge again. But Yoshi has one track mind, and heads right in their direction, running through literally everyone else in one go. As the competition goes flying, Yoshi's body finallly shrinks down to his usual size, and he's left alone to celebrate with a little victory dance in the corner of the room. "Yoshiiii~!"

YOSHI WINS!​

10 coins to Yoshi. Sorry this one took a lot longer than it should've. Had multiple people either submitting not enough info or invalid directions and then I was too distracted with gaming to realize right away lmao. I just let Goomba go up on that second round since he was getting eliminated anyway in the next one and there would've been no point correcting him. Wild that every single person went left there at the end. Even the two who were knocked out in Round 2 were planning on heading that way.

Goomba strides forward and reaches the star space. Turning to face Toadsworth, the toad smiles and greets him, but his look turns sour.
"Hello! ...Oh, I'm sorry Goomba old boy, but you don't have enough coins for a star. Please do come back"
It seems that this is the real star space!
Goomba continues forward, and is the first in the game to land on a Happening Space as he rounds the corner.
Sand begins to swirl in the pit below, and soon overflows to envelop Goomba, Dry Bones, and Yoshi. All three get sucked into the sand trap, and moments later are spit out at the other side of the board!

I meant after passing the shop. If you continue straight (the path curving up) you will land on an item space, which would probably give you a free item.

In the center of the board you'll find a shortcut with two cacti in the way. Anyone wishing to pass through here must roll a D20 for each cactus they wish to jump over, succeeding if they roll a 5 or higher. If they either fail or choose to purposely run into one of the cacti, they will be launched to the space next to the corresponding signpost on the sides of the board depending on which one they hit, continuing their turn like normal afterwards.

I did my best to explain how the cacti work in the original game post, but it's a pretty crazy part of the map. Basically here are the five places you can land depending on what you do:

#1 is if you don't take the cactus path at all.
#2 and #3 are if you run into the first cactus on the right.
#4 is if you jump over the first one and hit the flowery one.
#5 is if you jump over both.

TL;DR if you don't want to think too hard about it you can always just pick one of the numbered spaces and roll two D20s, and I'll tell you what happens.

How to Play
(This is a bonus coin mini-game. All coins collected will be kept, and will still count toward the Mini-Game Star.)

​

The players surround 10 numbered clouds containing varying coin values. Each round everyone will PM me the number of the cloud they wish to jump to. You can only choose between the two clouds in the center and the two clouds labeled with your character's initials in front of you (4 choices total) For example, Boom Boom can only choose clouds 1, 2, 6, or 7, Yoshi can only choose 1, 2, 7 or 8, etc. Any players who choose the same cloud will collide with each other and receive nothing that round. There will be 5 rounds and the rewards will increase over time. There are no losers unless you manage to walk away with nothing, in which case you are extremely unlucky and everyone should laugh at you.

Boom Boom continues forward 2 more spaces, landing on a Happening Space. Sand begins to overflow in the northern pit, engulfing Boom Boom and Toad. Both are devoured by the quicksand and are eventually spit back out on the other side of the board with everyone else.


What a pain in the ass it was to fit everyone on that one space. Thank God it's not the last five turns so I don't have to look up if we have to run 5 duels or something.

You are inflicted with Bowser's Reverse Curse and have 3 options: Using your golden mushroom will remove the curse and you will move forward with 3 dice like normal. OR, if you don't use the mushroom you can roll and go either south around the pit or east in Luigi's direction. If you enter any junctions while under the curse you will have the option to go any direction except the one you are entering from (Ex: You can't head east two spaces and then make a U-turn and go back west).
