Hello Tommy Boy,

Hope you're well.

Thanks for the information, I appreciate it. I'll ensure this is included in our next game interaction.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help with, and have a good one.
Hello, I hope you're well.

As previously discussed, I will not have the bandwidth to commit myself fully to the next game.

However, I'll be sure to join and contribute where I can.

Warm regards,

Hey Local,

I am indeed - thanks for asking.

That's not a problem at all, we encourage all to participate, regardless of capabilities. I'll leave a note against your account so my peers know this is the case too.

Was there anything else I can help with? I'll be here if so.

Have a good one!

I do not regret shooting you when Benzine, Kat and shortkut all did false claims against you. You had to die to begin unraveling that.
I don't think I accused Jawneh of anything, but I agree it was worth taking a shot to see what became of it.

Nooo, I've already been second butthole'd (BY YOU!?!) once already. I don't wanna! :bawl
It's not my fault you always get such good roles!

That aside the biggest miscalculation is nobody (besides me, I guess, but that sounds conceited 😓) really having the capacity to realize what the wolves were doing, with or without Instigator layered on top, until after their death and seeing the spoilers.
You definitely caught on more than anybody else, which I'm sure is partly why you died that night. I was rooting for you to figure it out and get TD lynched instead of Tommy, but it just wasn't happening.

But as a wolf, I'm always trying to dodge people like you, Raine, TD... that are supremely good at reading people. It's not that I feel bad, it's that it takes a real and legitimate physical toll that no one should have to pay. I truly don't think I feel this way if the percentages were flipped and I'm town 80% because I can play more relaxed some.
I totally get this. Last time I was wolf, it did get stressful, and I was happy to not be a wolf the next game. I'm surprised people who are sick of being a wolf don't sacrifice themselves more often. It worked pretty great for kut lol.

Not so much as feel bad as it's ALWAYS trying to deceive when I'm a wolf. If we constantly have 16 players, statistical analysis should NOT show me being a wolf 80% of the time. The one time I survived as a townie, I was a Doctor that missed every save. But as a wolf, I'm always trying to dodge people like you, Raine, TD... that are supremely good at reading people. Hopefully that makes sense.
Zell's RNG is legitimately busted or misleading. I was a Strong Villager this game, after my first ever Regular Villager last game. And I've been wolf twice. Out of... I don't know, let's count! :chuckle

Game 2 - Jailer (Strong)
Game 3 - Guardian Wolf
Game 6 - Berserk Werewolf
Game 7 - Ritualist (Strong)
Game 8 - Warden (Strong)
Game 9 - Jailer (Strong)
Game 10 - Ritualist (Strong)
Game 11 - Detective (Strong) [Cupid Paired]
Game 13 - Spirit Seer
Game 14 - Gunner (Strong)

10 games! So 70% of my games, I'm a Strong Villager. You don't need a Blind Wolf, just kill me and you'll take out something good. :shrug (Incidentally, also, I'm 80% not a wolf so STOP KILLING ME YOU MEANIE BUTTFACES)

You don't necessarily need to lie or deceive while a wolf, though. Even when I'm a wolf I just play as if I'm a townie, since as a townie I end up killing other townies pretty often. More about sharing insight into strategies and weird things I notice more than actively trying to catch a specific wolf or anything, usually? Not sure if that's helpful or not though.

Last game I played, I tried this and was enjoying it more until I was the last wolf left. I played more relaxed and TD said I was 100% a wolf because of it. He was right, of course, but then I fucked over Jawneh and something snapped in me. A guilt I couldn't pay.

Yeah! More of a roundabout thing, but basically Benzine said that Jawneh was a wolf and you kind of slid in and said Benzine (and FR) checked as Blue to goad that on. And then of course shortkut rolled in and said either you or Jawneh were bad, completing the Circuit of Nope. :chuckle

It's not my fault you always get such good roles!
I do enjoy that you noticed and many others didn't.

Well, yeah, TD's definitely going to notice changes in behavior with people he interacts with a lot. That's part of why I mess with him constantly... although given ^all of the above^ it's usually moot and I'm the one trying to sort out his tomfoolery instead. Nothing wrong with being sus though; usually if you're playing at all you're sus to somebody. Just need some sort of vague claim to stake and be ready to go down like a champ (or chump, depending!) when the time comes - and it will come, early and often, 'cause that's the fate of wolves. :chuckle

The Jawneh thing was unfortunate, but 1) I understand it's hard to keep perspective when you're drained (or draining) and 2) I didn't immediately pick up on that happening since Jawneh's goose seemed ready to get cooked right before your declaration. Lessons learned and all that though, hopefully!

Don't fight it, just let yourself get smothered by the Tiddy. :giggle

Re: Jawneh:

I don't know why you would go through all of the questions and the rigamarole instead of just claiming Gunner. If anything, a Gunner claim forces people to do what you are asking because you can just say "Hey, answer these questions or die". Gunners can really drive the discussion because they can play god so long as they have the threat of a bullet.

It's crazy, because if you go back to the beginning of this thread I knew the setup was gonna create fireworks. But you can't say the village was underpowered, with 6 wolf-killing bullets (Warden, Priest, 2 gunners) PLUS a flagger to protect/attack. But essentially 4 bullets got wiped out when Raine killed Jawneh and Vash died night 1.

Imagine if one of the Gunners had been Instigated

I'm telling you, a "Shortkut has been killed by an act of god" might be completely acceptable here

Anyway. Legitimately not starting shit. TD's on the team, he knows me inside out. We're good. It's not like he, shortkut and Ben haven't put any work in. If anything, he's put too many hours into this as usual. :chuckle

But you can better understand my perspective on, say, the Corruptor (which I didn't get around to commenting on last game) if you compare it to the Instigator.

The Corruptor:
1) Can have their attacks eaten/absorbed by the town.
2) Does not learn the identity of their own victims.
3) Can only rely on themself.

The Instigator:
1) Can't kill, initially. But functionally has 3 votes during the day, and gets a say in the nightly wolf attack (if not eventually controlling it).
2) Potentially/effectively knows the rough identity of every person in the game pending available wolf roles + singular town role.
3) Is a team.

One of these is essentially impossible to win with. The other has more than a fighting chance.

Instigator is definitely the easiest "solo", which is why winning as Instigator is fewer points on the rankings
That thing I don't look at. :tease

Like, don't get me wrong. I "get" it. But I think I do have a bit of a problem with how enormous the gulf is between the weakest SK and the strongest one, and there's no real rhyme or reason for why any single one will show up. And no way to know, for either the town or the wolves, what they're dealing with.

Which isn't necessarily a bad thing until you realize your efforts are basically not worth anything (see also: that fucking thorn in my side, Blind Wolf). Or, consequently, you land the SK designation but wind up with something thoroughly unsatisfying.

I think the latter part is the bigger issue, to be extra clear.

"Yay, I'm the Arsonist!"

"Man, fuck, I'm the Corruptor?"

Getting the SK should always be enjoyable, otherwise why would anyone want to play it? 🤔

This is a completely selfish "I don't want to ever be the Corruptor" post.
