OK I thought he was saying the mafia could just announce themselves and be likeHe’s saying that nobody in the town can out themselves… I think. Which at this stage is 100% true.
Slam that dick on the table like you're AntsOK I thought he was saying the mafia could just announce themselves and be like
we MIGHT have a vigilante. But town has vigilante though who could just pick off the mafia if they out themselves like that.
Ahh gotcha.we MIGHT have a vigilante.
someone is going to say "there's an 80% chance we have a vigilante" but there's an 80% chance we have any one of the town roles.
but we don't have all of them, so the vigilante is by no means guaranteed.
im not suggesting the mafia out themselves, that's ridiculous. but using their second kill and then using confusion would be a horrible idea. they're hiding when they should be flexing power. we should know they are hurting us and there's not a ton we can do to stop it.
obviously they shouldn't out themselves completely.
yes. they don't need to hide in this game the way they have in others.Ahh gotcha.
Show off both kills and rub it in our faces. Not reveal themselves, but reveal their power and ruthlessness.
Does that not also rely on a low chance of majority mobster?yes. they don't need to hide in this game the way they have in others.
even IF we knew for a fact Zell was a mobster.
if we put him on trial, and the jury ends up having a majority of mob, he will survive to kill again.
they don't need to hide. at all. unless we know we have a vigilante, there isn't a lot we can do.
which makes it odd for them to burn a second kill on a random list of numbers AND mask it.
There’s also the mob lawyer they have a 50% chance of havingDoes that not also rely on a low chance of majority mobster?
I don't understand the questionDoes that not also rely on a low chance of majority mobster?
What benefit does the mob lawyer provide? There’s also the mob lawyer they have a 50% chance of having
Sorry, mobster jury majorityif we put him on trial, and the jury ends up having a majority of mob, he will survive to kill again.
getting a mobster off trial. What benefit does the mob lawyer provide?
@VashTheStampedegetting a mobster off trial.
zell could out himself right now as mob. we vote to put him on trial. the jury doesn't have enough mobsters, so they see how the trial goes, and even if it's going bad, the mob lawyer springs them anyway.
I guess it depends how big the jury will be for each phase.Sorry, mobster jury majority
@VashTheStampede how big is the jury?
If "the jury" is hung or out, does it get censored for being obscene?
Ants for being aliveSooooo.
Do we have any candidates for our very first trial?
which. as I suspected, could in theory if we get lucky be 3 jurors that are mobsters when we're trying to kill a mobster which means free innocent verdict. If the day ended right now and there was a trial tomorrow, there would be 5 jurors.
Which may later look suspect if we later learn the player on trial was mafia.which. as I suspected, could in theory if we get lucky be 3 jurors that are mobsters when we're trying to kill a mobster which means free innocent verdict.
Completely public. It's on CourtTV and everyone is wearing nametags.Which may later look suspect if we later learn the player on trial was mafia.
@VashTheStampede is the jury vote public or private? Like do we just get the final tally, or find out what each juror voted individually?
yeah, it might.Which may later look suspect if we later learn the player on trial was mafia.
Completely public. It's on CourtTV and everyone is wearing nametags.
So how do we win then? We can't just throw up our hands and do nothing because they might be able to stack the jury.yeah, it might.
and what, praytell, will we do about that? if we have no vigilante, put them all on trial and hope there's not enough mobsters to convict?
how many trials do we lose to hunting down the mobsters now?
If I want to be on trial, you’d just be giving me what I wantshortkut gave me a sus reaction.
I assume that means he wants to be on trial.
I vote shortkut.
If I want to be on trial, you’d just be giving me what I want
If I want to be on trial, you’d just be giving me what I want
I mean it starts with the wolves potentially burning an extra kill and confusion on night 0.So how do we win then? We can't just throw up our hands and do nothing because they might be able to stack the jury.

I'm not saying we don't try, of course we try. I'm saying it's an uphill climb and the mob is already giving up the goat.
Role claiming is only allowed when you're on trial, yes?we're not allowed to role claim, and we have no protectors.
so there's only one strategy I can think of to confirm what we need to know that I can think of short of role claiming, and even then, it's a huge risk.
we all agree sometimes in wolf you have to lynch townies. we can confirm who the vigilante is if people can agree on who to have the vigilante target the next night phase.
we risk Insta gibbing a townie, but we'd know we have a vigilante without them outing themselves.
also, at this juncture, if the vigilante used their power night 0 picking from a random list of numbers, *they are doing it wrong*.
bad cop is more likely, but wasting his one kill is also dumb.
equally as dumb yo wasting button pusher. especially becsuse that would confirm 3 or 4 mob types.
that's the rules.Role claiming is only allowed when you're on trial, yes?
then we know what roles we have in the town, and we have an idea of who might the mobsters. But what if we don't even have a Vigilante?
Yeah, they're hanging out in the MorgueIs there a dead thread for this where our dearly departed get to chat? I mean there's no medium role or anything, just curious if they get to have fun as well.
But if there's no vigilante then it'll waste the cleaner's second use?And then that's ignoring that if we tell the Vigilante to kill, it's another Cleaner night.
