The alpha was injured at night and the second shot during the day. Someone with a night kill would know who they targeted.

So Vash might be a marksman with a second shot to be taken, or a witch with no more but a save.

This. For Vash to be certain (and right) he'd have to be a role that made the kill attempt and knew it hit an alpha

so a seeing skill could be in use, and kelly could be making some sort of wolf play, with some guardian wolf shenanigans. that's what i'd like to see for fun.

I was evil like 6 games in a row and everyone just thought I was evil again.

But no one ever lynches me anyway so it doesn't really matter.
