Nice day out in the woods with the kids at work!
It IS Halloween after all...if it was my dad saying this sentence the photo would be very different, which is what i imagined too
Not bad at allNot too bad, how's it going for you?
Very nice, sounds like it'll be funThat's good. I'm just relaxing for a few hours before going out to spend some time with my dad.
Evening, how's it going?
Should be! He's leaving this weekend to go back home.Very nice, sounds like it'll be fun
That's awesome, I'm glad you're doing better yourself and that your son's doing better, as well! Hopefully that carries on moving forwardDoing pretty well, finally have a good routine and balance with my son's medication, also taking some magnesium has helped with better sleep. End of the semester, exams are next week so I've had more time to get to the gym and man do I feel so much better for it!
Ah, so one last outing before he goes, nice!Should be! He's leaving this weekend to go back home.
That's great that he did, just in time for the holidaysYeah, he came down to visit for a week.
Oh nice! So a little fun and then the holidays, too, that's fantastic!Yeah, he'll be back in two weeks to spend Christmas with me.
Pretty much! He wanted to spend some time with me over the holidays since I'm the only one of his kids who tends to be alone over them.Oh nice! So a little fun and then the holidays, too, that's fantastic!
It's good that he wants to spend time with his kids, sounds like a truly good dad!Pretty much! He wanted to spend some time with me over the holidays since I'm the only one of his kids who tends to be alone over them.
He is. He's been really supportive and tries to help out when and where he can. It's good that he wants to spend time with his kids, sounds like a truly good dad!
That's great, I'm glad you have someone supportive in your life like that, it's really great to have a nice support structure in life!He is. He's been really supportive and tries to help out when and where he can.
It certainly has helped with moving around the country and living so far away from the rest of my family. That's great, I'm glad you have someone supportive in your life like that, it's really great to have a nice support structure in life!
Yeah, I can certainly understand that! Moving is a pain so any help at all is a massive bonus! It certainly has helped with moving around the country and living so far away from the rest of my family.
Definitely not fun, lol. I was only a kid when we did, fortunately, but it was still not fun at all!Yeah, I would hate to try to even begin to wonder about moving countries.
If you count the UK individually then 5, otherwise 3, lol.How many countries have you lived in?
Well, I lived in them, lol, they didn't all feel like homeThat's quite the number of countries to call home.
That's a fair point as well.Well, I lived in them, lol, they didn't all feel like home
Lived in Finland for a very short while, and while it was lovely and I enjoyed my time, it was...not homeThat's a fair point as well.
How long ago was that?Lived in Finland for a very short while, and while it was lovely and I enjoyed my time, it was...not home
Many years back, I was just a little kid at the time, and it was for less than a year in total. How long ago was that?
No, just within the USHave you moved to any new countries as an adult?
California, Arkansas, Texas and Arizona (but moved around in Texas and Arizona a bit), but also spent time in Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Nebraska and a couple of other states. How many states have you lived in the US?
I loved Texas, honestly, but...given who and what I am, that's obviously not going to be a fit for me. The people were wonderful, though, and it was beautiful. Just...politics...What's been your favorite state?
It's not even about that, it's the policies and laws being passed that are making it impossible to even exist in states like Texas or Florida. I know that I'd be fine in Texas with the everyday person, because they don't care. There are karens and assholes around every corner in any state, but the politics in states like Texas are stripping away the rights of trans people to dehumanizing degrees and it just wouldn't be possible to exist there. You don't think people would leave you be? I mean, personally, I don't care what people want to be.
That's the way to be. As long as no one's doing any harm, and as long as they're not an absolute jackass, then that's all that matters. Way too many ignorant & hateful assholes in the world, and that's why it's so messed up right now.I mostly just mind my business and ask others do the same. I try to avoid telling people how to live their lives.
best thing about Texas is the BBQ. oh, and Galveston has a full amusement park on a boardwalk pier.I loved Texas, honestly, but...given who and what I am, that's obviously not going to be a fit for me. The people were wonderful, though, and it was beautiful. Just...politics...
