Not a pet, but I found a baby bird in a box in the garage yesterday. Little dude was all stressed, dehydrated, hungry, and too tired to fly. I hooked him up with some birdseed and water, let him chill in a different box and regain his strength a little, and as SOON as he flew out mama bird came to the roof and gave him an earful for not reporting back home.

Unfortunately my cat is dying. He has lost a lot of weight over the last few months and has now completely stopped eating. He hasn't had his death sentence yet but I'm fully steeled for such an outcome after the conversation with the vet tomorrow. We'll see.

I'm sad, but not too sad. He is (at least) 18 and a half years old. He's a stray cat we found in Singapore, and has fared far better than his parents and siblings who all died in a storm drain when he was just a few months old. Also he should have died of a kidney issue when he was a few years old.

I'm so sorry to hear this, but I'm glad you're prepared. It's never easy to lose a fur baby, but 18 years+ is a great life! ❤️

I know this is an aging post, but I feel like I've been on a mission trying to defend you against this "lol benzine is a alcoholic" stereotyping. If only because continuing to tell someone they're a drunkard after they've moved on from those days diminishes any progress they've made in recovery.

Not to say you had that serious a problem at any point, but I get the impression that isn't how you want to be represented. GWF is all about allowing the previous horrible humans that we were to slough off, revealing the immaculate butterflies within.

I didn't want to single anyone out, but yeah, I was thinking of our numerous examples of "let the past die, kill it if you have to". I wouldn't approve of anyone trying to bring up dead-names or anything like that, and while not quite the same, it's an undesired identity.

Anyway, here is a goofy picture of my cat.
