So Tom Brady literally owns part of the Raiders.

If Belichick somehow ends up on the Raiders - Brady could definitively say he owns Belichick.

I've seen quite a few people on facebook be so very upset about Bill.

I mean...why? Have they not paid attention recently? There are also two very good candidates we could go with that are the top two options at this point (Vrabel and Mayo).

It's been an entire generation of just one coach. It's a good time to move on.

I'm almost ready to go bet on DraftKings that it will be Vrabel with Mayo as defensive coordinator/assistant coach.

The way Vrabel gushes over his career here, that he actually came to get inducted into the Patriots HOF during a bye week WHILE COACHING ANOTHER TEAM, and that he is essentially being paid by Tennessee so the Krafts don't need to pay him.

He is a player's coach and would instantly get respect from the room, which like I've said is one of the major things for a HC.

I’m only surprised he was fired instead of a deal for him to resign for optics

Vrabel and Mayo on the staff together would be one hell of a good way to get the fans moving on pretty quick.

That's because Bill gave him a career. Pittsburgh wrote him off. Bill had a knack for putting players in positions to succeed. Always did. Vrabel owes that to Bill.

That said, I want Mayo to stay, but I would still much rather go find someone outside this organization and an offensive minded coach. I still lean to my personal favorite option being Eric Bienemy.

I'd rather Bienemy be the OC. I don't want a coach with no HC experience yet. It's a tough situation and the shoes to fill might be too much for a first time HC. Vrabel-Bienemy-Mayo would be my preference. Let Bienemy own the offense, Mayo own the defense and Vrabel be a true HC.
Yeah I'd be down for this.

Sadly, for the rest of the NFL, I don't believe we'll be making the mistake of hiring McDaniels with any more power than OC. He's at least qualified for that position.
I'd be a bit surprised if he even latched on as OC if I'm honest but we'll see.

Also gotta wonder how attractive NE will be to available coaches compared to other teams.

#3 overall draft pick and a lot of cap space. The Defense is in acceptable shape.

Those first two are pretty big ones though. Can come in and try to make a splash right away.
