Just saw Mike Evans hit the mark for his 10th consecutive 1000 yard season.

What a beast. It's already by far the record to start a career, but now he's one season back of Rice's all time record of consecutive 1000 yard seasons.

Evans has been quietly one of the best and most consistent WRs in the league. Dude has been basically QB proof too.

Seriously impressive and should be a first ballot whenever the time comes.
Yeah but on the other hand, fuck that guy.

i for one would love to see aaron rodgers come back for one game where the jets require several other results to go their way to make the playoffs only to shatter his ankle into one thousand pieces. and that’s before even taking into account the patriots shadenfreude (sorry eye—SB XXXVIII was a formative experience)

What would actually be funny is Rodgers coming back with one game to make the playoffs and the Patriots run them out of the building with a RB and practice level QB playing QB to knock them out and also to knock themselves out of prime draft spot.
You underestimate the level of stupidity the Jets have.

I assure you, as Patriots fans, we know the level of stupidity to expect.

Chiefs are learning a harsh lesson to not skimp on WR.
I'm not sure what our issue is cap-wise, but it feels like the Chiefs completely neglect a position each year, and then over-correct on it in the offseason. Somehow we never have money (especially considering we are likely to lose Chris Jones in the offseason). I know the 49ers have Purdy, but I don't understand how all of the other really good teams with big-name QBs aren't in a similar spot. We essentially have a subsidized WR1 in Kelce, and our entire defence other than two players (Jones and Reid) are on rookie contracts. We have two of our starting offensive line on rookie contracts, and we pay our RBs and WRs nothing. Obviously we overspent on MVS, but even he is making less than half of a top WR.

Brock Purdy, drafted #262 overall last year: 17-4 as a starter including postseason
No one wants to admit this because the NFL is pushing the Purdy Mr. Irrelevant narrative pretty hard to give him Tom Brady relevance, but he is purely a system QB I feel. I don't think he'd have NEARLY this level of success anywhere but the NFL's version of the 90-00's Yankees.

oh yeah, i don't disagree at all. i think the lesson to take away here is that the way to build a team is not to sacrifice everything to trade up and find the one single guy who is going to single-handedly save your entire team, it's to build a strong team first and let the QB position handle itself. either way, QBs are and have been ridiculously overvalued and prized. this year has definitely exposed that scouting QBs is like throwing darts at a dartboard with a blindfold on

I know the Chargers don't have Herbert but I'm shocked bookies have us as the favourite.
I have Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler going Thursday in week one of the playoffs in my league of record, and I just don't think I can stomach starting either which is scary... it's the playoffs.

But it's a short week with a rookie QB who won't have a lot of time practicing witht he 1's.

I can see both sucking horribly, or being emergency outlets.

It's a good thing pretty much my whole team has good matchups or I'd hate life right now. I dunno what to do.
