Everyone stop what you're doing! It's happening! GW's own Alu is having a baby!! Come and congratulate him here: Need some help identifying this picture.
We're so happy for you, Alu!Does that mean you found the hidden room???Credits on Blue Prince this evening.
This is a game I'm going to be playing and thinking about for a very long time.
Yeah. Still a TON left to do (I got it in a REALLY low amount of runs) but that was the credit roll.Does that mean you found the hidden room???
Fallout New Vegas as me hooked again.
Also working my way through Mega Man 10 on Switch.
have progressed pretty well in Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, wife and i finished the third case last night. excited to experience the fourth case for the first time since, uh, 2007! time doesn't feel real anymore
other than that my wife has been playing through Yakuza 0 for the first time and it just underscores how great an entry it is into the series. it was the first one i ever played but going through it now that i have the entire series under my belt makes me appreciate all of the little nods to other games in the series. i don't think i'll pick up the Switch 2 port but i am very interested in whatever new cutscenes they cook up
i'm also giving a second shout-out to Soul of Sovereignty Prelude. holy fucking moly. this one is far shorter than Misericorde, even including the Chapter Two that was released a couple months ago. oh my fucking god, man. get in on the ground floor of this one.
it is a love letter and also a wake-up call to jrpgs. it plays with jrpg tropes in an amazing and fascinating way. i am going to review it in a way that will hopefully resonate with some of us here: if kefka is one if your favorite final fantasy villains you should play this.
You can never go wrong with a game of Galaga friendo.![]()
I'm still playing AC: Valhalla on my own, and BG3 with my brother!
i'm not sure if it really landed for me when i was a kid, since i remember so little of it. i've been enjoying it a lot more this time through! that said, i'm a huge maya fey fan so losing her is a lot but trucy and older-and-more-jaded ema do a lot to make up for it. apollo is a fun protag and the new take on phoenix is very interesting. How you like this compared to the first 3?
likewise. she'll be starting Yakuza Kiwami soon but right now she's replaying one of her favorite games of all time: Psychonauts, which is just as entertaining to watch and just as funny. i'm so glad they eventually got the sequel they deservedSwoon, love anytime plays this series
Can someone not so great at video games be the second player for this? IDK if you played It Takes Two, but that was like pretty much the limit for my wife (we didn't finish lol). She's able to do Portal 2 co-op together, though. So we finished Split Fiction last night, and man the last stage/chapters blew my mind with how good they were!
Split Fiction is more difficult for sure. There are a lot of quick reflex or precise timing parts. My girlfriend and I are both longtime, avid gamers and we struggle through some sections occasionally. It's very generous with respawning somebody who died as long as you're not both dead at the same time, so boss fights and that kinda thing aren't bad. For platforming sections, it'll respawn you caught up with your partner typically, but that can also be annoying because it's really obvious when you're being carried. It's also obvious if one person is much faster at getting through a section, even if the slower person doesn't die, which I could see getting demoralizing for somebody consistently slower. Can someone not so great at video games be the second player for this? Yes, that was one of the points my husband had to do for me! The flying through rings just fucked me up because everything is "opposite" and I kept just nose-diving. I just can't with flying in games and is a big reason I don't play flight simulators, etc@Gloom-is-good did you do the side story with the gorilla and fairy? That one felt a lot harder than the rest of the game up to that point.
Yeah, I played It Takes Two. I think that ITT was more casual-oriented than Split Fiction, which demands a bit more of the players. I think you'd be able to do it, but as @Kat said it might detract from the enjoyment if one person keeps dying and needs carrying. My brother and I are both pretty seasoned gamers and we made it through without that much effort, and fully sober I'll add!Can someone not so great at video games be the second player for this?
