We do still need a quick meta game eventually for @shortkut who basically came online and it was over.

Meta game with regular or at least consistent rules. Maybe it’s because I joined real late, but that meta game felt like zell wanted it to go poorly or just end so he could get back to hosting a real game.

I want a meta game with hand selected roles and players for those roles by zell to maximize chaos or whatever outcome he wants, not a free for all

Gooooood morning, good afternoon, and good evening - depending where in the world you are listening from.

My name is TD - and this is the commentary. I'm a little late to the party, first day on the job and I'm late!? Embarrassing, I know, I know. My employer, Mark, gave me the wrong time to start working - and by employer, I mean the true Instigator. You have him to thank and or hate for this.

The dead thread popped off, there was a Baker, there was a Cat Whisperer, there was talk of cookies, wanting more and more. One of these... "Spirit Seers" even popped in super early for the fun and started flipping tables. Dead again!? He likes to chat with us, but he really wanted to lynch a motherfucker. But alas, he's stuck here.

Sooooo. Let's recap the days events.

So Day 1 is typically quiet in the village. Shitposting galore, misdirection, and a bunch of nothing usually gets revealed. The prodigal son of shitposting, VashTheStampede, third of his name makes an early appearance. Oh look - more shitposting. BUT WAIT - HE DROPS SOMETHING SUPER SERIOUS SUPER EARLY!? What is the world is happening?? One of, if not both of, Ben and Raine are MURDERERS. This is a bombshell. It shakes the town to their core. Is Vash who he claims? The spirit seer? A wolf? The instigator? A recruit? Just plain fucking around? It's impossible to know and this point and seemingly impossible to choose who to lynch...

BUT WAIT - KELLY SMASH!!! Kelly comes in with another bombshell, he can confirm that Ben is a GOOD guy. Oh no, this doesn't look good for Raine and she hasn't even had an opportunity to check in. The villagers start discussing amongst themselves, who deserves a lynching? Who needs to be strung up? There's debate, there's logic, Raine is nowhere to be seen, NEITHER IS BEN. Will they get a chance to defend themselves? Maybe there's a Priest? A Gunner? WHO KNOWS?? The bandwagon forms on poor Raine, she doesn't even have a chance to defend herself, but alas, she makes an appearance...

 

[TD]

Raine comes strolling in and is like, oh shit, gotta think of something. HEY EVERYONE - let's find an actual wolf and my death will be meaningful, seemingly hinting that she will avenge HER OWN DEATH. What a wild twist. Will they buy it? Will they believe it? There certainly is talk of some talk of maybe Ben is better off to kill BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE. IT'S SHADOWIN' TIME. Now the town can claim who they're going to want to lynch but there's no way to verify or guarantee this. Everyone is panicking. You got people strolling in who slept in for inexplicable amounts of hours asking what they missed. There's breakdowns, synopsis, some are missing key info. But you know what? WHO CARES ABOUT KEY INFO - NOT THIS VILLAGE. Okay, okay, it's time, let's kill us a Raine and hopefully the wolves don't beat us at our own game...

Is there a contingency plan!? OF COURSE. In comes Holly, black gown and all, twirling her trusty wooden gavel in her hand. She makes a statement. She's convincing. She's stern. She's strict. She makes a point and says, WE GOT THIS. Because you know what? If you can't decide on who you're going to kill, I'M GOING TO MAKE SURE RAINE DIES. I'm going to force you all to murder her and you're going to watch. And you're going to like it...

 

[TD]

Meanwhile Ben is off in a corner on his computer playing WoW, collecting coins, not paying attention to what's going on. Gee guys, do you think you could pick up on his hint or what?...

 

[TD]

And then we have Fool's Requiem. Ooh boy. He comes walking right into the town, one eyebrow is inexplicably arched and the village just wonders what is wrong with his face. He's smelling the air - it's almost like, he's trying to find out what that is that's cooking?? Is it cookies? Is that smell from the cemetery seeping in? Oh, no, it must have been what HE was cooking. The town looks at him dumbfounded. WHO'S GOING TO CAST THE FIRST STONE HE SAYS. The village shrugs. FR buries his face into his hand, C'MON GUYS. He leans to the ground and pulls out a rock, he turns and looks at Raine...

"Hey Raine, who you voting for" - she goes to speak BUT FR WHIPS THE ROCK AT HER FACE, WTF!? "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO YOU VOTE FOR!!" he screams. The town horrified watches poor concussed Raine walking around, and they still have no clue what he's on about. FR comes clean, guys, if Raine is who she says, I MESSED UP. They don't get it..

FR, fed up, goes and finds a dictionary. Tosses it on the ground and tells the town to read something. He walks away, PERSONALLY - I'm surprised he didn't tell them to turn the dictionary sideways and shove it straight up their candy asses, but that's just me...

 

[TD]

This more or less summarizes what has happened today and what I've caught up on. We have about an hour left in the day. Will Raine get lynched by the village? Will it be someone else? The town is starting to go down conspiracy rabbit holes with their impatience. Stirring shit up while they wait. Someone is going to die, we know this. We'll have a new presence in the Cemetery, the Commentary, and we await them with open arms.

Who's lying? Who's telling the truth? Who dies today? Who lives through the night? We'll find out soon!

Lawler kind of annoyed me, but at least the 2 weren't too bad at yelling all the time. I like hearing the Bobby and Gorilla commentary but this was before I watched wrestling so I've just heard clips.

I think that was Lawler’s angle, though, because it was representative of his in-ring persona. I think he was supposed to be one of those “love to hate” kinda guys.

And here comes Local Hero with some WILD IDEAS but in a sick twisted way IT MAKES SENSE!? Did he piece it together? Is he misguided? Vash better hope LOCAL HERO HAS NO POTIONS. He didn't do so hot with that last time, but what if he's right this time!?

GOOD LORD ALMIGHTY!? The wolves had a Berserk Wolf and they lost the ability already!? Raine was a wolf. But can Vash be trusted? Can Kelly be trusted? The town aren't the only ones to have something huge to gain without the presence of the Berserk Wolf. Who makes it out of tonight alive? Who doesn't? WE'LL FIND OUT SOON!

Yesterday was... less than great. I mean, yeah, obviously in terms of the game. But, on a personal level because of the game. I don't know how to address it, or if I should address it. I made and deleted a lot of posts. Weighing the fun of everyone versus my own well-being is hard. Especially when I know I'm at least being partially irrational about it. Extra especially because I'm acutely aware of people that aren't responsible, but that are equally sensitive and will get upset if I say anything. And I don't want that.

I need a table to flip. And some cats to cuddle. Only two of mine ever want to, and only at like 2:30 in the damn morning.

Nah, it's not a game balance/role interaction thing. It's an unintended consequence of what happens when Night 0 reveals actually useful information, leads to a natural and justifiable bandwagon... and how that relates to someone in my very, very specific situation when phrased in certain ways. I'm not quite finished processing it yet.

Nah, it's not a game balance/role interaction thing. It's an unintended consequence of what happens when Night 0 reveals actually useful information, leads to a natural and justifiable bandwagon... and how that relates to someone in my very, very specific situation when phrased in certain ways. I'm not quite finished processing it yet.

If it makes you feel better (or maybe it doesn't!) I think you were dead by the time you logged on. You already had 6 or so votes based on the information given and none of your teammates had challenged the information roles.

It's not like if you all of a sudden say "I'm the real Aura Seer and Vash is evil!!" you would get any more credibility. I don't think there is a claim in the world that could have saved you at that point.

I don't mean "challenge info" by directly accusing the info givers of lying. Challenging info is just having somebody else claim the same "fixed" info giver role.

You could challenge Vash's info just by claiming to be a random villager.
