I wish I had a picture of the Flint Hills. It's Kansas's best kept secret. What really bothers me is the fly over country label. I work remote and have worked with teams both in California and the East Coast. No one knows that we have a lot of beauty here too, and some of my remote co-workers are so dismissive, they would never live here, etc etc. Really bothers me how much the midwest is sometimes trashed on.

But anyway, thank you very much.

Y’all can get shit on for having open fields and clean air? That seems kinda ridiculous… I envy folks that live away from big cities, can’t wait to get away from the one I live in.

I don't have fancy stuff to share, but here are some areas of my room that I like a lot lol.

Trinket Shelf #1 - I try and get at least one (or more) representation of my favorite video games/media

Trinket Shelf #2 - Building that Pip-Boy was more fun than I thought

The Wall of Frame - Various paper stuff that has been nice to keep over the years

I love driving the Flint Hills, although I've never managed to snag a good picture out there. I got a KTAG just so it's easier for me to take that route when I go out to OKC.

It's just the stereotypes, lol Kansas is so flat, that we have nothing but tornadoes and we are all living in a bunch of corn or wheatfields. Other midwest states probably get similar treatment from the occasional coastal person.

Our cost of living is so low as a result though.

Back from vacation, time to post some more pictures!

The Alchemist Brewing: They make amazing IPAs that are accidentally Gluten Free (their non-IPAs are not, however). There is a process you can go through while brewing that removes the gluten. They (according to their tour) didn't know they were doing this and ended up just doing it. Omission is a company that's up front about doing this, though.

There's a trio of baby/juvenile raccoons i helped out a few years ago that live behind my shed. They sleep up there when its a nice night. Caught these guys out here at like 9am one day and snapped a pic or two for my Grade 1 class.View attachment 1194 View attachment 1193
This is a trio of raccoon pups wandering the streets a few nights ago. They were making the cutest noises and trying to stay togetherIMG_7215.jpeg

Enjoyed this drawing by my niece of her family.
I recently received a bunch of my old paperwork including the bill from the hospital when I was born. This drawing by me age 5 was mixed in. My dad wore a lot of plaid and had a tupé. I'm told I made fun of his fake hair so much he stopped wearing it. I always remember him bald like Danny Devito. I'm the youngest in my family and that's clearly my mom's handwriting.

These drawings crack me up.

Hi, I have been at the Bahamas for a while - here are some pictures. Pro tip: Don't go to Atlantis. For reference - a large cheese pizza costs $37 US after VAT. It's insultingly expensive there but the kids loved it. There is a slide called the leap of faith that is terrifying and I did it for my 10 year old so she wouldn't be scared but she walked down the stairs because she chickened out... it took years off my life I think.

As I was unloading a truck at work one day, one of my produce pallets tipped over and spilled all over the place. It was a massive hassle to clean up but I got what I thought was a pretty cool picture out of it.
That looks like a delicious fruit salad

Damn rockstars destroying their tens of thousands of dollars worth of instruments night after night. When will they learn?

lol, hope it was a decent show.

Haha this is my 3rd or 4th time seeing him, he does go hard from time to time on the piano, but no level of like The Who or something in their prime.

It was a great show. He is a phenomenal musician and he is hilarious with his quips and stories and musings he tells between songs. Him and the Piano Guys that even if you dont like their music, you'll be entertained by their personalities

Brave move, and you still have your hands?!
Haha I've had some damage and cuts, I also ask for it, I love petting his belly, he does not though!
I have that same 10 Little Dinosaurs book. I've never been able to work out what "munching on a mooth" meant.
I've only read it a couple times, wasn't a huge fan, kind of odd like mooth
