I'm coming back with pics but uh..... what

Stroke had Alu. Brain no good more no.

3 randoms from my camera roll, a variety of sorts.

This is a report I did on marijuana when I was 6. I’m still working on my follow-up thesis.

Found this little dude out front one day.

Sunrise. One of the most peaceful times on this particular stretch. On that block in the frame 3 people have been murdered in the last month.

Here's sunset today after the thunderstorm cleared in Vermont. Pretty nice to see after the terrible flooding that's been happening here.View attachment 924

I took some of the same storm today as it rolled through upstate NY. The clouds were very slightly swirling in some spots, but looked more wild than it ended up being. At least over me.

Last week I went to Delphi in Greece. I spent 10 hours travelling there from Thessaloniki, taking buses, a train, and a taxi, to look for I don’t know what (long story).

Nobody told me there would be insects there that I’d never seen before who would, in keeping tradition with mosquitos and midges, REALLY love my sweet blood. Some of those horrors looked like a cross between wasps, dragonflies and horseflies, others like small iridescent dung beetles. So I probably moved through the ruins faster than I’d have liked, but it was also very hot. BB7C9970-6E6F-48CC-96F8-0C27EE5268BA.jpegLook at that ancient writing! this is wild because I think this storm is here right now. I got woken up by a huge crash of thunder and a visible bolt of lightning striking across the street from a window behind my bed.

At work one day I was doing my morning cull, where I remove all product that isn't fit to sell for one reason or another.

When I was just about finished I noticed that I had subconsciously kind of separated things by color.

Not sure what this says about me.

Yeah, you all post really cool interesting pictures and I post literal trash.

I work outside all over the country and get to see some neat things sometimes. I don't know how many pictures you can put in a post but I reckon we'll see.

This bone was fuckin' stoked to see me.

The bottom of this canal in south Texas was almost entirely shells. This part of Texas was full of all kinds of neat things. Like all these fellers:PXL_20230313_230525150.jpgPXL_20230311_184402339.jpgPXL_20230311_184254975.jpgPXL_20230323_214656562.jpg

We had to walk through so many ditches, creeks, and canals on this project. Constantly on guard. Fortunately, didn't see any snakes the entire time I was there. PXL_20230313_135557234.jpg

Pretty impressive crawdad tower.

This was in Michigan, but it felt like somewhere on Jurassic Park at the time. I was on the lookout for a "clever girl"PXL_20220608_114424527.jpgPXL_20220526_142342909.jpg

My boots had a hole in them, so I opted for flip flops instead. It could be some super amoeba talking to y'all right now I dunno. If so, its piloting me better than I ever did on my own.PXL_20220610_220105246.jpg

This is the coolest thing I've ever seen.

Everything can be pretty, even mud.

How it ended:

We call cows "beef ninjas" because they are sneakier than you give them credit for. Turn your head away and they're right behind you or worse, out of the gate you were just gonna leave open for a minute. Beef ninjas love mud and are curious as fuck.

Here's some weather from yesterday in KC. This is technically a bit farther North, but it was crazy all over the city.

That's insane to me. Ireland hit around 32C earlier in the year and it almost finished me.
It's unfortunately common here in Arizona at this time of year. Every state I've lived in since moving to the US has been a new culture shock, lol. California (not terrible, not great, EXPENSIVE!!), Arkansas (uhh...yeah...), Texas (humid as hell, nice people, misguided politics) and Arizona ("it's a dry heat" as they dry out like beef jerky in the sun)

Yeah, I went to Vegas a few years ago and stepping out of that plane was like opening an oven door. Went to LA for a few days too and it was much more manageable.

Yeah, if you're coming to AZ/Nevada/Utah in general, spring is the best time. Weather is perfect in about March. Of course in AZ spring is about spring training baseball, so we get half of the major league teams around here and traffic goes a little bonkers, but it's still nice to be here then.

They're road tripping from a national park in Utah to LA and Eureka. I think they altered plans to also go to Texas for a funeral. They live in Colorado, where the dry heat isn't hellish like AZ.

I've been to Texas, New Mexico, and Nevada but never AZ.

Ah, sorry to hear about the funeral, but the road trip sounds like fun overall!

If you ever get here there are some amazing places to visit. Sedona, of course, Tubac, Bisbee, Tombstone, all beautiful places (Tombstone can be a tourist trap, though, so careful there!), Strawberry is small but nice, even Wickenburg can be a fun day trip. Phoenix is...meh...but Arizona has quite a bit to offer :)

Wow, those are some incredible photos!
Thanks! I tend to buy cellphones with good cameras so I'll accredit most of it to that, but I do think I've got a good eye for framing.

I think half my pictures are my kids and the rest are landscapes when I notice something cool.

Yeah, you definitely have an eye for it!

I don't take many pics, so more than half of mine are my sister's partner's daughter taking pictures of herself, lol. 5 year old learning to phone :D

Geez, those are some gorgeous places!
I think the waterfalls were Letchworth park in NY. The garden was probably somewhere in Maine, when they had the visiting troll exhibit. I've got many more of other trolls but most have my kids in them.

I just skimmed my Google photos for some landscapes and saved them. I should have made actual note of the location. 🙃
