Whenever I’ve tried m’baku, he would always be one of my first few pulls
You play a lot of Lockjaw...

I mainly use M'Baku in my Lockjaw C2. A free 7 power M'Baku jumping onto the board at the end of the game because I fed him to the good boy 3 turns ago is the epitome of chef's kiss.

How does he become 7 power? Does he retain any power boosts after going back to the deck?

As part of the 1 year anniversary stuff they are running, you can claim extra rewards based on any spending you do this month.

If you go to the main website and open the shop, it will show the collection track. I think buying the season's pass counts enough for at least the first couple items.

That’s only for real money purchases, not in game currency, right?

Forge nerf is... whatever I guess. It sucks, but at the same time, Forge was really easy for steal wins.

Alioth nerf seems irrelevant to me, that card is not about its power at all, no one ever plays it because it has 5 power, they play it to block the big play at the end. (I just had someone kill a turn 7 Iron Heart/Odin combo on a Wong/Mystique and I'm a little bitter, ngl.)

Shuri as you said changes absolutely nothing, not sure why that was even important tbh.

I like the slight buff to Widow, more use for her now with a -1

White Tiger buff seems fun though.

I like the changes. Forge was a bit strong, him with Brood put me in infinite toooooo easy. But at 1 cost there's a lot more space to play him with other cards. It's going to be even better when Shaw comes out. And having it at 1 cost means Killmonger can kill it too, to help discount Death.

Cool for White Tiger. I thought White Tiger was fine, this card also helped me to infinite with Wong and pals. Now he's even better? Easy.

Don't have Widow but love it, really would like to play that Ronan type deck.

It's idea is knowing as much about their cards and plays as possible.

It's stupid fun, but doesn't really win much. BUT you also pretty much can't lose

Alright. Notwithstanding my previous reservations, having looked into this a bit more I've decided to download it. So I've just done that, and played my first two competitive games. Both wins. Huzzah.

So, who wants to give me some really basic beginner tips? Or point me in the direction of some videos/articles that will?

It’s very easy to play as F2P

Gold: only spend on variants. Too hard to get to waste on other things

@Benzine ans @Cole are pretty new to the game, and both are doing really well. They might have some additional tips

@canadaguy @Avenger and @VashTheStampede have the most experience

You won't need advice on playing the game, it's very easy and will come down to your preference on "I want to be the greatest" or "I like cute cards".

Game is a great "just do your dailies quickly" type game. Then when the moment takes me I have a big bash through while I read the news/whatever and what not.

Whether you pay some money, no money, tonnes of money, I would recommend making yourself aware of all the upcoming bundles. You will get enough gold to use, and if you want to get more cards quickly you'll need to be organised. You can find most of the upcoming bundles, and what they cost (whether cash or gold) here: https://marvelsnapzone.com/bundles/

Then, once you know what you want to play, you'll be able to work the best way to get there.

In pool 1 and 2, you can make infinite, the top rank, easily. Just play Killmonger and Devil Dinosaur.

All helpful, thanks. Just watched that video @VashTheStampede. Very useful. Seems like at pool one and two I'd gain an advantage just by watching a few videos on this stuff. Assuming I'm playing anything more than casually. And honestly, while I might not be super competitive, I'm not sure I've played a game completely casually in my life, so I'll want to know some stuff.

I consider myself completely casual and I still try to win most of the time.

That's the good thing about these sorts of games. You don't need to play the meta to get quite high up. And if you ever feel like just getting high up, you'll have the good cards at some point (since good cards still go into fun decks), you can just change it up.

The early journey is just about getting the cards though.

Have you played trading card type games before @Crazy Jamie? The same concepts of how to win that apply in all of them apply here too.

Also, VERY important that I've just remembered. You will play bots. When you lose some amount in a row or a game takes too long to find, they'll put you up against a bot. You can definitely win mostly against bots and also get paid out cubes for it. Maybe there's a guide out there for it but I think you'll have no issue working it out so long as you're aware of it.
