I had a killer Leader play to win yesterday but y'all won't wanna hear about that because it's a Sandman deck...

Leader used to be my #1 most hated card when I first started playing because he was EVERYWHERE and felt so brainless. These days I appreciate a good Leader play.
Nah nah go ahead post it up

Leader was worse when he copied EVERY card. Although if my math is right I still win this particular game

guys my Discard deck needs something, and I dont know what.

Blade and Swordmaster keep getting the 1 in 5 wrong chance and hit Hela instead of anyone good.

And apparently Sif targets Hela not Apocalypse.

Do I get rid of them in favor of someone I dont have?

I don't like running Blade or SM because of the randomness. I used to run them when I was in your pool though, and I could never get very far with discard.

My current set-up, FWIW:

1 Sunspot
2 Morbius
2 Wolverine
2 Swarm
2 Colleen Wing
3 Moon Knight
3 Daken
3 Lady Sif
4 Dracula
5. MODOK
6 Apocalypse
6 America Chavez

Yeah I know Moon Knight is random too but at least he has disruption

Yeah discard feels too reliant on luck without having the modok hela combo. And even that one can still have rng bite ya in the butt

As I mentioned, I accidentally opened the spotlight cache for the Spider-ham variant, which was upsetting. My question is do you think I should gamble my other one? I would quite like Nimrod, and Galactus would be acceptable too...

But then I won't really have a 100% shot for the next bunch. Which look great too...

If you were collection level 819 what would you do? Don't give me answers about my personal preference ( you've all been great at not doing that so far) pls.

What type of deck do you like to play? I was enjoying my destroy and on reveal decks so nimrod was a no brained to try for for me

I say go for it. Nimrod isn't necessarily a GREAT card, but he's FUN. Galactus opens up a whole deck on his own. And at your CL the "mystery card" option is much more likely to be a help than it is at higher CL levels. The Spotlight system was really made for people at around your level IMO.

I quite like discard, but like Cole above I'm also lacking the cards to actually run a more consistent version. Even I can't discard timelier :( I also don't have Colleen who I think would help greatly.

But I'm a bit sad about it really, because I love discard type decks in other card games... But they're almost always shit. And in those few moments they're not shit, they're unbelievably overpowered. I once went to legend (hearthstones equivalent of infinite) without a loss in a moment when discard hit boiling point.

Thanks, great response. I will go for it, wish me luck.

I'm glad I have a card like Zola which I can continue to just grind the hell the hell out of what amounts to my best deck atm, and I'll always be learning about new interactions and staying vigilante about plays cause of how dynamic this card is.

Would really like to get Nimrod and Venom for more fun like this.
Nimrod doesn’t do enough if he isn’t boosted by shuri or some other way

Playing a goofy Daken deck against a Destroy deck. Dude thinks I fucked up by playing Killmonger before my shards and helping kill his Deadpool and Nova, buffing him before the last turn. Starts spamming Ms Marvel.

He didn't know about the Absorbing Man and MODOK in my hand alongside my 3 shards.

To his credit, that was a sole Ms Marvel after a "What Just Happened?" once I killed his new, bigger Deadpool and sent my Dakens from 5 to 40 with MODOK.

I love the moment when they suddenly stop spamming

I finally put together a Galactus deck. Main thing was I didn't want to do the typical Yondu/Logan/Ock/Wave/Knull package shit. So I went with cards that manipulate the opponent to leave a lane free.

Jean Grey is an obvious one there. Adam Warlock and Omega Red also tend to pull a ton of guys to their lane. Warpath to bluff that I'm leaving the lane open on purpose. New Spidey is great for clearing a big guy out of my intended Galactus spot. Oh shit I should put Lizard in too.

Here's the current list. Wasp is there for turn 6 if I have Jean on the board, so I can still play the big guy. Iron Man/Gamora/DD for alternate win path if Galactus doesn't show or there's not a good place for him. Really fun deck.
What about magik or Psylock to try to get him out with a turn still available after

Yeah people will go bananas to play cards in an Adam Warlock lane.

this guy is brilliant. Screenshot_20230814_161211_SNAP.png
the first location was cloning vats. so he already had a bunch of wolverines. Galactus kept duping them when he was destroying things.

that's a new synergy for me. (worst part is it was still winnable for me, but I messed up)
