And that could be Cole screwing with everyone to generate discussion and then analyze what people are saying.
Saying shit to generate convo and then analyze it is a smart play, and to quote you - he's smart.
monkeys with typewriters guys, monkeys with typewriters.
Heres the thing. In the first two games, and the aftermath of both, I basically outlined *exactly* how I play this game. I also won a game as wolf in decisive fashion, and then won a game as townie in decisive fashion. (note for the haters: I'm not saying *I* single handedly did either, I'm saying I was on the winning team twice in two games that were decisive.)
I had to do something different. I needed a new strategy. I got my role, I'm [REDACTED MESSAGE], and a valuable member of the town. And I needed a way to generaate conversation that wasn't my usual strategy. When it began, I wasn't sure where I was going, I just knew how I wanted it to start. But there's one key piece of information that I think you're all missing.
at no point did I say I was 100% canadaguy was a wolf.
thats just what everyone inferred because that's who I voted for.
what I in fact said was that I had identified a wolf. That was more fib than lie, because my belief was that I could figure out who the wolf was from the ensuing chaos. You delightful mother fuckers spent 14 pages trying to figure it out, accusing each other, playing odds, thinking up strategies. I posted like 20 times in this thread, and I was still the number one source of conversation, and you lovely little fuckers are AWESOME for that. It went swimmingly.
Heres the rub. I was fully prepared to follow through with this. say I know definitively who a wolf is, vote for someone before the end of the day, watch the reactions, and then hope to deduce who an enemy was. But this required a lot of assumptions. 1: if I got lucky and my vote (in this case canadaguy) was in fact a wolf, the wolves would either immediately try to protect that person by diverting suspicion or 2: if that person was NOT a wolf, the wolves would ultimately land on voting for that person as a means to get *two* players killed. if canadaguy dies and ISNT a wolf, I'm dead one way or another. but heres the one that required some plans changing. 3: I had to assume that any townies with kill rules would be apprehensive about what role I am. I think it was TD that pointed out you guys had "narrowed it down to 17 possible roles". But Tommy took a shot. And now there's blood on my hands.
My strategy likely would have resulted in a townie sacrifice, it was a risk I was willing to take because I was (am) extremely confident we could've had a free course to the rest of the game if that happened. But I have no desire to lose this game, and more importantly, I don't want to RUIN peoples games. If I take another shot in the dark and potentially kill another townie, knowing it's probable I will also die from that strategy, thats 3 townies down (4 including Alu) and 3 of them are as a direct result of me. So THANKS
@Tommy Boy you aggressive fuck, you've ruined everything.
So where do we stand?
I was never "trolling". Posts I made in this thread that WEREN'T game relevant were to be like "yeah, I'm here, I could very easily have been contributing, but I didnt want to/wasnt ready to yet."
But otherwise, TD was exactly right. I caused 14 pages of nonsense that I wasn't even apart of ON DAY 1, and there is a world of information at our finger tips now, and now it's our job (maybe mine, I have to clean up this mess afterall) to sort out the truths from the lies.
First order of business.
I change my vote to abstain and NO skip.
Second order of business, let's talk about some of the things you've all said, and t heorized, and accounted for.
And I wanna start with Ryan! and shortkut in particular.
You guys are so massively wrong that I'm leaning heavily to you both being wolves at this very moment.
The Solo Killer (whichever it is) *IS AN ASSET TO THE WOLVES AND TO THE TOWN*. The solo killer accelerates how fast townies may die for the wolves, but the solo isn't out to help the wolves either, so therefore he can be used to hurt the wolves either way. If I was the solo killer, this is not how I would have played it AT ALL. Why the fuck would I? The way I played I wanted you to think it was a possibility, but it's too big a risk to play that way as solo killer. I become too much of a target for EVERYONE in the game to get antsy about. (See: Tommy Boy, I made him antsy enough to attempt to dewolf me. Sorry buddy, next time.)
The fool is a threat to the town and PURE ASSET to the wolves. He's literally not a threat unless they're planning to try and lynch someone and don't know who the fool is. The fool will make it so ANY LYNCHING becomes a risk for the town (and for the wolves), but the wolves will know it's a risk, and can act accordingly, the town will not. If I was a wolf, and I knew for certain who was the fool, not only am I gonna want him alive, I'm gonna try and get the town to protect him at night too. Fools an asset, and should be towns number one priority to kill, not the wolves, not the solo, the wolves.
Townies lynching townies is part of the game, it's going to happen, but only the fool ends the game for them outright (whereas townie lynchings just make it a lot harder.)
If any of you, ANY of you have any faith in my ability at all, you'd have already ruled out that I am not the solo or the fool. Which means, whos coming out on top of this so far? TD. The voice of reason for this thread trying to stop you guys from making a HUGE mistake. TD is actively in protect the town mode, trying to talk people off making a HUGE mistake and therefore, I can't see how he'd be anything other than a member of the town. This (at least loosely) goes for anyone backing TD, including Vash and Dean.
Ryan and shortkut, you silly boys. There are two civilians gone already, but there are *SIX* enemies to a town win. SIX, not 4, not 4+1+1, there are 6. There are 6 players that can cause the town to lose. With 2 townies already down, thats 6 against 8, they're not bad odds that if you kill me I'm a bad guy, it's a safe attempt. But you are ignoring (either intentionally or ignorantly) that I am not a wolf. Which means there's a 2 in 14 chance I'm a bad guy, which is a lot LOT bigger reason to not risk putting me down and being wrong. You can sit there and claim your "reads" tell you you're right, and that that makes it worth the risk, but considering I can confirm (believe me or not) that your reads are DEAD WRONG, you are chancing 1 in 7 that you won't kill a townie. That's some sketchy shit, you're both WAY smarter than that, and I'm inclined to believe you're both wolves.
canadaguy... I'm torn. My vote for you WAS actually marginally suspicious, but I don't think you're a wolf right now, I think you might be what you were loosely claiming to be, because you are *EXACTLY* the type that would night 0 check me. And you may have every indication of what I am and am not.
Ants... Ants has had some super insightful posts in this thread (one at least I'll get to shortly.) And I'm conflicted. Ants could have been taking over my role from the other games, where you just tell the truth, analyze things objectively, and try to sort shit out from the chaos.
CLEARLY you mother fuckers are getting anxious and SOME people (probably wolves) are anxious to get past this post so that I don't give out too much on them. Curious, isn't it?
So here's what I'll do. There are people I'm HEAVILY HEAVILY suspicious of, and whatever this post causes, it's going to give us some answers. A lot of answers.
If you lynch me, you'll regret it (and not because I'm the fool, PLEASE give me some credit, I'm not that obvious a player.)
I'm making a play before the end of this day.
I probably left off a bunch of stuff because you fuckers were rushing me now, but enjoy.
