I don't think you need help with getting lynched in general. You've long since earned the title of "definitely maybe a wolf" no matter what you do. Just saying. :whatever
says the guy with his head in a noose waiting to find out who the floor will drop out on.
Listen it’s not my fault you guys didn’t get it the first or second (that’s a fancy way to say 1+1) time.
I'm sorry, did you just claim that first+second=third? because if you did... I'm not sure you're good at math.
If that's the lessons you are giving I think you are really overselling this mathematician thing
agreed.

Hey hey everybody, I'm gonna be honest I've had a very bad day learning that some friends aren't here anymore. I gave the thread a read and I still think I need to go with shortkut for now.

Fair, and I do concede that it's a bit of a douche move on my part to potentially implicate you with anything, but I got to work in some contingencies if I don't live to see the next day. It's better to try to reign you in a little before it's too late. Just in case.

I'm sorry to hear that, man. do what you gotta do, of course.

You can take day phases off if you need too. IRL stuff takes priority over silly internet forum shenanigans.

I very much appreciate you guys <3. I talked to @Fire Queen, I'm gonna take a break tomorrow's day phase to get some things where they need to be. I'll be back Wednesday with a clearer head and hopefully something I noticed about a wolf for y'all.

so, given that isoor hasn't been on since this morning (at least in my timezone), i'm about to go to bed, and we have a definitive result...i'm gonna go ahead and call today's day phase

shortkut: 6 (The Flame, Ants!, canadaguy, Holly, Jawneh, God.)
Jawneh: 5 (shortkut, Fool's Requiem, Zell 17, Cole, Raposa)

No vote: 1 (Major Isoor)

The glovemaker had narrowly escaped the jaws of execution twice already, but the third time would not be the charm. shortkut knew that his time was finally up and, much like Warp the day prior, did not fight his execution. Indeed, it was eerily similar. So similar that a few of the villagers who had cast a vote for him began to doubt themselves, but it was too late. The time for second thoughts was over and the time for final thoughts was now.

Gold Whiskers desperately needed a win. Already they had executed an innocent civilian, and already they had lost two people and a sheep to the claws of the wolves. In a strange and perverse way, some of the onlookers hoped that the executioner would be forced to use her revolver. She raised her axe high and the town held its collective breath. When it dropped, nothing happened save for the extinguishing of yet another innocent life. shortkut was just a Townie.

END OF DAY PHASE 3, BEGINNING OF NIGHT PHASE 3

When the local locksmith Major Isoor failed to show for the execution vote, there were some reasonable fears that he, too, had fallen victim to the wolves. A peek into his window was all that was necessary to assuage those fears, as one of his naps had simply gone on for a little longer than planned. When he failed to show for the daily headcount, most everybody expected to peek into that same window and see his head resting on that same pillow.

To be fair, his head was indeed still resting on that same pillow. But there was no longer a body attached to it. There were no signs of a struggle, but there were several signs of a mauling. This murder was brutal when it didn't need to be. The wolves' numbers had yet to be thinned, and they were relishing it.

The executioner's revolver still had yet to be used. Perhaps that would change...but there's only one way to find out.

BEGINNING OF DAY PHASE 4
this phase will run for twenty-four hours or until everyone votes, whichever happens first

Seeing as shortkut ended up being a Townie the suspiciousness of the people that voted for him rises, myself included. There's three wolves still so even if they all voted for shortkut there's still three townies that voted for him.

For myself, I'm the village idiot. So I'm eating some humble pie in the corner waiting to see how today unfolds.

I know how you feel 😅

Though to be fair, I voted for him since Day 1 (first as a self-preservation vote, and then because he remained sus), so I didn’t bandwagon him so much as I’ve just been wrong about him since the beginning. I feel pretty played now. :dunce

there has been less information than there might usually be in this game.

not because of the lack of roles as Zell might want you to believe, but because of the types of kills the wolves have done. The information we need is all here, I'm confident of it. But it's been hard to suss out. It almost seems like everyone in their advanced age has gotten better at hiding their motives.

obviously I voted for Jawneh last day phase, and his survival (especially since he also voted for shortkut, and had been against him the whole game) does increase his suspicion.

Ants! is sitll high on my list, as he also has been poking at shortkut the whole game.

*I* should also be on the list, as I had also been suspicious of shortkut. I didn't vote for him, and I wasn't convinced, nor am I 100% convinced on Jawneh.

I also don't think we can rule out that at least one of the wolves *DIDN'T* vote for shortkut, the wolves wouldn't need to vote for him if it looks like he was gonna be lynched anyway.

I am leaning towards Jawneh, but I could be swayed to Ants, and of course I'll keep my eyes open for any information that makes ANYONE overly suspicious.

but numbers are dwindling, and we need to suss one out.

I’m only the second person to vote for kut last round (Flame was first), and Jawneh was still in the lead after my vote 4-2.

God, Holly, Jawneh, and canadaguy all piled on after that.
I hardly piled on to anything.

I had been suspicious of shorty and made my reasoning known on day 2. I wasn't voting just to get something in under the wire without anyone noticing.

Issue with Jawneh is his vote for shortcut could just as likely be a self preservation vote. Very odd the wolves went for Isoor, he would have been suspect today otherwise.

Only thing I can think of is a “fly under the radar” thing, but that would be a really weak argument to make in light of all the other information we have on other people.

First a night-phase abstain, then a wolf kill on an easy lynch, and now killing off an inactive person who didn’t make waves of any kind. Seems like the wolves are doing their best to keep us all confused with as little information as possible.

I had a nice grand idea of going on about in 3rd person about this Jawneh guy and how he's suspicious thanks to being on kut's throat twice and the weirdness with Warp to paint myself as a martyr when I'm lynched, but I realized I don't have enough time to do that and also to do an analysis on where potentially to look for a wolf. So here's just the lame idea. Done. It sounded pretty amusing in my head and I was also going to vote for myself to emphasize it. Oh well.

I'm fairly perplexed on who to even consider voting for. Considering we've had very weird wolf moves and kills, we might be dealing with people who aren't especially good wolf players, but thanks to that they can play the game outside of it and make moves that are meant to confuse more veteran players. I think it was The Flame who alluded that maybe the quiet bunch holds a potential wolf or two while everyone else here are racking our brains and ended up lynching two townies already. I'll own up for Warp all day every day and of course didn't help with kut, and that's why I'm hoping to find something if I'm killed off. The wolves shouldn't kill me as I'm being suspected fairly heavily now, but considering all the weirdness why not do it anyways?

More hipefully better and actually insightful ideas in a couple hours at lunch.

are you ASKING the wolves to kill you? that seems odd.

care to share with the class? because the rest of the class seems to be leaning towards Jawneh, and you don't seem to want to commit there.
Frankly it's that he's seemed to spend as much time complaining about the game (that vanilla wolf with no special roles doesn't give info etc) than actually playing

This is an incredibly odd thing to say...
I'm good at odd and weird. :D Personal trait. That and being able to sneak up on people super well.

I went back to first day and read through that with the current knowledge of deaths in mind. The biggest potential one that popped up was ants. Not entirely thanks to kut, but more thanks to vash. I was seeing if there was some kind of a connection there for why the wolves took him out and he was one of them. Considering how day two went even first with Warp and kut as the main suspects at the time, the wolves could've decided not to go for kut and just take out another potential person who had one of them in sights. Or vash was killed thanks to it being somewhat obvious to see that him and kut were after ants and the wolves decided to lynch him in hopes of someone seeing that and leading us to a false trail. Read back through day 1 and some of 2. It's not too bad of a read if you ignore most of what Cole and kut were arguing about.
