Mind Blown GIF
Dude I looked for that gif forever the other day (and failed), how did you find it? Is it even in the giphy search?

Borat is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen, but I have no desire to see it again. I even felt that after walking out of the theater.
That's totally fair. The DVD was worth it for the deleted scenes alone (all of which I'm sure you can now find on YouTube). I watched it once or twice after the theatre and it definitely didn't hit the same. I feel like enough time has passed now that I could maybe enjoy it again.

Favorite movie set in space: Tight race between Star Wars or Spaceballs.

Movie with soundtrack I love: So many good ones to choose from! But I agree with @shortkut once again, Jurassic Park is damn good.

Movie that is also a book I love: I'll go with Stardust here too. I could say LotR, great movies but I'm not a huge fan of the books tbh.

yeah if this was about the score i would go with something like Uncut Gems but if we're talking soundtrack...Scott Pilgrim vs. The World was an all-timer...so was The Crow...is it cheating to pick Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny?
The Crow was my original answer before I remembered motherfuckin Prince at the height of his powers.

Scott Pilgrim is a GREAT shout too.

A Film That is Also a Book You Love

Okay, another day, another time to avoid saying Jurassic Park.

I'll go with Francis Ford Coppola's take on John Grisham's The Rainmaker.

Its the movie that made me start taking Matt Damon seriously, and one of my favorite Danny DeVito performances. Jon Voight is at his haughty, hateable best as well.

Also this was the book that really hooked me on Grisham and I read most of his novels until he started dabbling in non-fiction.

I don't have anything for this one. I haven't read many books, much less enjoyed them or the movie adaptation. The BFG is probably the one book I recall owning and reading as a kid that got a movie adaptation. I can't say that either were especially remarkable.
What about James and the Giant Peach

I don't remember if I ever read the book, and haven't seen the movie.

When I was in 10th grade, we read Dracula and then watched Bram Stoker's Dracula, complete with the nudity.

Our teacher asked what major differences between the book and the movie that we noticed, and my contribution was that the book didn't have that anindication of sexuality like the movie did, especially in regards to the scene where Dracula feeds Harker (Keanu) to his wives. The teacher disagreed that the scene in the movie was sexual or even sensual for whatever reason. To me, it sure seemed like the brides were seducing him...

I once skimmed Jaws for a "book report".

I'd say you're both wrong but you were in 10th grade so I completely understand missing the subtextual theme of suppressed sexuality in Victorian times. I didn't see it myself until I re-read it much later.

While completely innocuous and sexless on the surface to our modern sensibilities, that book was near scandalous in it's time.

Plus it was xenophobic as fuck, but that's another discussion :link

Film you put on when feeling sad: I usually do series when I'm in feeling great, and by series I really just mean Flight of the Conchords. Something about the dry comedy and their unfortunate lifestyles and their complacency with it all sparks joy. If I were forced to choose a movie, I'd probably have to choose Austin Powers 1 or 2, or Nacho Libre, but that's too many times that I've mentioned Nacho Libre so far.

Big screen film: meh, the theatre experience is never really that important for me. I saw Star Wars: Episode VII on the largest screen in Berlin, and that was hella cool, though. For a new one, I guess I'd choose Across the Spiderverse. I'm not a huge superhero fan, but this movie was such a visual treat. The mix of action, music, plot development, and visuals during the Da Vinci vulture fight got me so fuckin amped up the first time I saw it. I'd love to see that in theatres.

Favorite space film: Star Wars: Episode VII. I'm not a massive Star Wars fan, so maybe that's what afforded me the ability to like this film. I liked the slow burn intro where you follow Rey as she scavenges. I liked how it paid homage to Episode IV without forcing it down your throat. I liked the characters, dialogue, cinematography. Great, great film. Never even bothered watching Episode IX after slogging through VIII though.

Film soundtrack: the only answer for this is Baby Driver. I love the music, and the way the music harmonizes with the action and what's happening onscreen is almost unparalleled. I fuckin love that movie. I unmatched a girl from Tinder once because she said she hated Baby Driver and Her Opinion Was Bad And Wrong And Dumb.

Book film: What's the question mean? Am I choosing a film that is a book that I love, or a film that I love which is also a book that I love? If it's the former, Holes is legitimately one of the best books I've ever read, and if you haven't read it then you should go and read it now, but the movie is pretty below average (can we nominate a movie for worst soundtrack?). If it's the latter, I don't normally watch and read the same media, but I read The Shining, which was pretty good, and the movie is of course excellent.
