For the record, last game with shortkut as Cupid and TD, me, Kelly, and Tommy as wolves, TD was being so suspicious of us being coupled. Even when I pointed out how little sense any of past plays made, as far as being coupled.

I can only imagine wolf chat right now with TD pushing the idea of Dean or Jon being coupled SO HARD haha

I wasn't around for most of the day I got lynched, and didn't catch up on the thread, but a townie made the argument that TD was pushing for me to be lynched. I wondered if that day he was so paranoid of me possibly being coupled that he started to nudge the town towards lynching me

Day 1 when we chatted about this, though thinking instigator at the time, we were all fine with a couple person playing to their win condition. Whether that has changed since then, idk. Dean has been sussing TD as well. Not sure if it's just in terms of that's the ploy or if there's already a fallout.

Exactly. Straight off the bat you have to place it on yourself, and then even if you find someone "worthy" to move it on, its so cumbersome to move that it's not worth it.

The problem with predictably trapping yourself is that your trap will typically never spring. The exception being if nobody knows there is a BH in the game and you claim marksman or something. If you go random you can protect two people: Yourself, who the wolves would never dare attack, and wherever your trap is.

My reasoning was I didn't want it to inadvertently end up on a wolf and dying right off the bat I wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

Yeah I have no problem with it. Just by random chance, you are obviously more likely to hit a villager with the spell. BUT, the village has more than enough tools to win without a spell, and if you do spell the wrong person that's more likely to lead to a loss.

It was a win win for Vash. It was just me that got screwed over. That's why he did it. Was to insure his own win.

I had this all lined up ready to go, thinking I was going to get lynched in the day phase and be proven wrong.



I leaned into my suspicion and assumption of meta-gaming giving Vash the edge, and kept taking his lack of even implying a serious role to think he was orchestrating it all. And of course his leading the mob against me at some point probably didn't help broaden my prespective, it just made me double-down like a stubborn git.

I should have pushed harder on Dean. I called him faking Seer and being the Wolf Seer SO HARD, which is the only reason I feel somewhat OK with it. I just gave him the benefit of the doubt because he pushed that "I'm busy" narrative and I didn't want to be a dick. And again, I probably should have stayed quiet for longer and not stated my role as early.

And I 100% wouldn't have even considered there were two Seer Apprentices who'd activated. I trusted Benzine, but I still would have just assumed Vash was lying. Alas.

At least me being one of the only fuckers who claimed their _actual_ role gave the now 2 sheriffs some useful information, finally.
