I mostly agree, but I usually make space for one or two multiplayer games. I don't know if I'll buy it, but I've enjoyed what I've played a lot. I don't think this game in particular will demand too much time.Based on limited viewing, it looks surprisingly polished, as if they realized they could just take what worked from previous entires and automatically included it in the game from the start instead of having to spend multiple years fixing it.
That said, I don't think I want to invest in multi-player only games anymore. I already have hundreds of games that I need to play, some that will suck up a lot of time. Many MP games require a significant time investment to play well enough to feel like you're having fun. One of the things I like about fighting games is that I DON'T need to invest time into actually getting good enough to bear humans. You can just play the AI.
Battlefield doesn't support bots and the mods used for old games aren't all that great.
There's other ways of doing it that are more intuitive and obvious. It seems you missed that and went with the less intuitive route? I didn't even know you could use chuchu jelly this way, and I 100%'d TotK.I like how Chuchu jelly ACTUALLY has a purpose now. Instantly realizing I can just toss the blue/water jelly on the sludge to clean it off things felt good. Not knowing how I was supposed to figure it out besides "hmm, I what what happens if I do this?" does not inspire confidence
There's another way to clean the sludge off of the tower door and statue? The Chuchu Jelly option was super simple. There's other ways of doing it that are more intuitive and obvious. There's literally something called a Splash Fruit and you're encouraged to use them at a specific story point. There's another way to clean the sludge off of the tower door and statue? The Chuchu Jelly option was super simple.
haha, I forgot about that. funny that Chuchu Jelly works, too. Chuchu Jelly also seems to be super easy to acquire because those fucking things ALWAYS pop up in your travels. There's literally something called a Splash Fruit and you're encouraged to use them at a specific story point.
(Not really a spoiler)
You can just throw items, which is what I've been doing to limit arrow usage. Only restoring to arrows in combat, hunting or long range tossing.I did the chuchu jelly as well. Made killing the boss very easy too with them. Until I ran out of arrows.
God do you run out of arrows fast.
You okay there friend?

me irl
Somebody on the original GameWinners mailed me a copy of FF7 because I hadn't played it. I did after that, obviously, but honestly I was never that into it.I haven't played FF7.
Or Halo games.
Or more than 15 minutes of any Mass Effect games.
There's probably a few other outrageous ones out there too.
Dragon Quest is grindy AF. I quickly gave it up in a situation similar to what you described: I was obviously intended to grind and I had no interest in doing so. So yeah I don't blame you there.Only turn based RPG I've played a significant amount of time was Shadow Hearts From the New World. Got to a point where I couldn't beat enemies due to low health in my party. I assume I was supposed to grind levels so I didn't get outclassed in the desert chapter. So no Chrono Trigger or an Dragon Quest games.
Sometimes the most random platformers turn out to be quite good. I'll have to check that out."You should play The Smurfs: Dreams for the Switch" sounds like the ramblings of an madman. But there's actually a quite good game here.
I recently got a random platformer on the Switch called New Super Lucky's Tale. It's a 2019 remake of a 2017 sequel to a 2016 Oculas Rift 3D platformer made using the Unity engine and developed and published by a developer/publisher who is not credited with any other game.Sometimes the most random platformers turn out to be quite good. It's supposed to be pretty solid. At some point, I'll try it out. My attention is pretty much solely on Tears of the Kingdom, and I kinda have a bit of a hankering for a Far Cry game. Don't think I have 4, so 3 and Blood Dragon will likely have to do. If I do have 4, I'm probably playing that first.
4 has a wingsuit of sorts that supposedly makes traversal a lot of fun. Also, the location it takes place in is pretty. For what it's worth, I enjoyed Far Cry 5 and 3 is my favorite of the franchise with 4 being pretty close. I had a hell of a time getting into 6, though. I still haven't made it past the first hour.

Its the sort of game I'd never think of playing, but saw a review for it somewhere saying it was worth picking up. I like giving good but overlooked games a boost when they deserve it. There's been a lot of soul put into the game, and some pretty crazy concepts.Sometimes the most random platformers turn out to be quite good. I'll have to check that out.
I've played Super Lucky's Tale (which I assume is the 2017 version), and I agree it's pretty good. I feel the same way. 3 is awesome but I enjoyed FC5's setting the most and the game is very beautiful by 2018 standards. 6 isn't bad but I do think for many people it's where the FC formula has got too stale. It isn't helped by the fact that Giancarlo Esposito is badly underused in a largely disappointing plot. For what it's worth, I enjoyed Far Cry 5 and 3 is my favorite of the franchise with 4 being pretty close. And you're goddamn right feeling that way. It's a doozy!I'm about to go through the Omega 4 Relay for the first time in Mass Effect 2 and I am fkn HYPED
As TD said, this game is so so good already
I think my favourite mechanic is around the crests and the fact that you can literally alter your entire moveset which was something I wasn't expecting.there's already so much more freedom
If it is, that one was the first one that took me quite a few tries to beat. A lot of it ended up being just me being impatient and thinking I could just zip around doing damage and dodging everything. Clearly Team Cherry knows about this thanks the bosses and some enemies really punishing you for that. Though some do reward you for it too so it's great really.I'm at about 11h now and I think I'm on the final boss of Act 1? Only tried it once so far, doesn't seem that bad but I've also gotten a lot better at this once I shook off a bunch of rust. According to the PS5 trophies I have 33% of the silk skills so that probably adds up if there's three acts.
Yeee. When I got the first one and switched to it and liked it a lot. I moved back for now as I like the zippiness of the first one. One thing that does suck, which you may have noticed, or will soon enough, that opening all the spare slots in each crest is unique. Didn't know that when I used my first two and somehow I didn't have them when switching crests. Welp. Could've spread them around already if I knew.I think my favourite mechanic is around the crests and the fact that you can literally alter your entire moveset which was something I wasn't expecting.
The traversal and platforming is certainly starting to become a thing.
I'm playing through Pentiment and holy shit is it good. I got through the first act and wasn't able to do all of the things I wanted to do. I know this was by design, but I felt SO close to wrapping up a storyline but I just wasn't able to finish in time. I want to look up info on the other routes and storylines, but I don't want to potentially spoil the rest of the game. Maybe I can even solve some of those mysteries even though it's too late to change the outcome.
Curious who @Quagmire picked to execute.
Exactly the same as me. My head canon was that, even if he weren't the culprit, he had other crimes, in the context of the era, that would've been punishable by death anyway lmaoI picked
Ferenc, I was sort of curious about the Lucky but wasnt able to investigate him enough
Who did you pick?
If it's Last Judge then yeah same one. Haven't played again yet since posting, but the combination of size and speed on that one makes it more difficult for sure. But yeah, a lot of these fights and situations punish you for rushing around recklessly, the heal system is also more challenging than HK. I had a rough time with one of the earlier bosses but a lot of that was rust and trying to overcome muscle memory now that this has no iframes. Ugh!?If it is, that one was the first one that took me quite a few tries to beat. Yeah I found that out the hard way with one of them too. Also didn't realize it shows you the kind of slot you can unlock before unlocking it until my second use either. Whoops. One thing that does suck, which you may have noticed, or will soon enough, that opening all the spare slots in each crest is unique. I did notice that part myself. Had the foresight to check.Yeah I found that out the hard way with one of them too. Also didn't realize it shows you the kind of slot you can unlock before unlocking it until my second use either. Whoops.
HK was the same way, no?Another random interesting small bit of polish about Silksong I noticed. Your map only expands as you see more of the map. As in, you cant scroll around the world map to gauge how large the whole area is. Gotta wait till you get there or get a map to be able to see more. Its nice as it keeps whole size of the game hidden even longer.
I dont remember tbh. I might check that out after work today. It does feel like this is a new thing and that I could pan around in HK. Or I could be talking out of my ass.HK was the same way, no?
