I forgot about the Frederic trade, indicating they'll be sellers. But I don't want picks back. I want young players. Wanner is fine as a former 2nd. And I'm... ok with the 2nd back. So I feel this is a decent deal for a bottom 6 forward that was significantly overdrafted. But I'd still rather see a trade getting in a young, possible stud in the Matt Poitras ilk.

I think it was a mistake trading Necas for him. The fact that Colorado was willing to trade him gave off massive red flags that he seemed likely to test the FA market.

Necas was a player i liked a lot, it really seemed like the second he had a cold stretch the team decided it was time to flip him (and naturally he has 13 points in 13 games since the trade...)

hope the return on rantanen is worth it but i'm glad the canes aren't on the hook for all that money

I think it favors Dallas more, though it depends on what the return entails.

I do not hate it at all.

Middlestadt is a former first rounder with comparable stats to Coyle and 2 years left at age 26. Zellers is a mid prospect with upside and a 2. I'm ok with that
