Hopefully, it looked bad.If we're lucky, Ryan Reaves will earn himself a suspension after that hit on Nurse.

Very much so!Ouch...
Good... that powerplay was atrocious...Bruins fired Monty. Joe Sacco named as interim HC.
The return of Claude Julien to Beantown beckons thee.Good... that powerplay was atrocious...
It was completely predictable. Pas the puck for 90 seconds, looking for a single one-timer passing lane, get that shot blocked or missed, puck cleared no other chances. I don't know what they saw in him. One good season. And I like Sacco. They also need someone else who can score since Marchand has forgotten how.
Oh fuck no... that PP was worse and he tried to win games 0-0. I'm convinced the OT rule changes were specifically because of him.The return of Claude Julien to Beantown beckons thee.
That sounds like how pretty much every single team runs their PP these days.Good... that powerplay was atrocious...

I dunno... without getting too much into diamond vs. box (etc.) styles... PKs are all pretty much the same too. The main difference is if a team plays aggressive or patient. Each have their positives, but MOST teams play an aggressive puck attack PK to force quick decisions and turnovers. You don't beat that with a pass pass pass pass one-timer blocked PP. You beat it with taking quick open shots with traffic in front of the net. Get the PKers to over commit and then get a screen and likely rebound. The BRUINS play a patient PK where it's sticks in lanes and not pressuring the PPers. The B's play a PP that beats only THEIR PK.That sounds like how pretty much every single team runs their PP these days.
Which I think is more to say that PKs have really been optimized to the point that doing that is almost the only thing that works
Of all the things no one predicted...nah, I think the Jets still take number 1, lolAt the quarter season mark, the Pacific division leader is some how, the Calgary Flames
Jets goal diff is bananasOf all the things no one predicted...nah, I think the Jets still take number 1, lol
Yep, it's likely to be this way for some time, his legacy will hold sway over both teams for many years to comeFlames at Blue Jackets tomorrow. And then Columbus plays in Calgary on Tuesday.
Both likely to be pretty emotional games
That's horrible, I'm sorry you missed it!Stream kept cutting out so missed almost all of it
gotta be down bad if you're tampering with himRumors of there being tampering between St. Louis & Monty. The NHL responded by sending out a notice to all teams warning them about tampering this week.
Well, apparently they were negotiating with him when he was with Boston, and Monty's heart had been with St. Louis this entire time. Explains more about what really went on behind the scenes.gotta be down bad if you're tampering with him

Seguin's season is done.
Sounds like they could use some grit. Say, could I interest you in a Ryan Reaves? o_othe canes' blistering start to the season has finally tapered off...five losses in their last seven including back to back 6-0 and 6-3 drubbings by the panthers. if they want to finally get the monkey off their back and make it out of the eastern conference they gotta figure something out
God, fuck the Panthers... can we disband them yet?the canes' blistering start to the season has finally tapered off...five losses in their last seven including back to back 6-0 and 6-3 drubbings by the panthers. if they want to finally get the monkey off their back and make it out of the eastern conference they gotta figure something out
The New York Rangers have extended Shesterkin to an 8-year contract worth $11.5M - $12M AAV.
A massive one at that.
Payday for Shesterkin.
They will, just in a slump.I'm convinced the rangers are never gonna win again

Ouch would be an understatement. This was the guy who was drafted 2nd overall, and a player that still had potential. Unfortunately, the Rangers squandered it.Ouch, Rangers. Ouch!
