Jesus I get off work, drive home, and it's all gone to hell.
Future reference:I tried. Sorry @Jawneh. I really thought it was you.
Future reference:
If you make a move that you think will confuse the wolves into a bad choice, it will 100% also fool the town into making a bad choice. They have less information than the wolves.
I can't remember if Tommy was, but Jon and Kut both wereWeren't Jon, Tommy, and kut all survivors in Kat's game when it imploded at the end?
Without being 100% on Jawneh though. There was a plan in the works that increased the odds of a win and your lie stirred the pot on it.I wasn't even worried about the town. I was counting on baiting Jawneh into killing me.
Yeah but if he would have hit...You could have been the hero, or you could have played it safe. You tried to play the hero and it didn't work out this time.
And I'm saying he likely didn't check Tommy because you suddenly made yourself more sus at the very last minute.Benzine didn't check Tommy
I was pretty confident about Jawneh (you can never be 100%)
I don't regret it
I never realized how much townies also lie until these last couple of games.
I lie all the time - especially as a townie.I never realized how much townies also lie until these last couple of games.
And I'm saying he likely didn't check Tommy because you suddenly made yourself more sus at the very last minute.
This is the first time I've lied and it was hard but made it a lot of fun
lmao it 100% added to the confusion. If you think it didn't end up making the decisions worse, that's one thing, but it definitely adds to the confusion when there's a plan made around you having a specific role that you've been adamant about the entire game to come out and say you actually don't have that role shortly before the day phase ends.My plan half-worked. If I would've picked Tommy, the game would have been over, and everybody would've been like, "epic play, Dean".
Okay, that last part still wouldn't happen, but yeah.
I don't think my play confused the town anymore than they were already.
So? Someone was going to die regardless. And again, if I didn't do that, Jon would be dead.
So? Someone was going to die regardless.
I don't think they would've gone after Jon regardless. You were unlikely to target Tommy and Jon isn't going to protect an avenger, so either way you were a good kill. And again, if I didn't do that, Jon would be dead.
Tommy is claiming he hasn't gotten any extra votes, though. They should say we all put two votes on Tommy and Benzine. If Tommy was preacher, he could win the vote tie, if he's not, Tommy is wolf.
Tommy is claiming he hasn't gotten any extra votes, though.
That explains why he isn't claiming he has any extra votes."Preacher
Aura: Good
At night, can select a player. If that player dies, the Preacher will gain an additional vote during the day for the remainder of the game. Can gain up to 3 additional votes for a combined total voting power of 4 votes. Other players will know that the Preacher has increased voting power."
I feel like this implies Zell would announce it in the thread or something.
I don't think there are many scenarios wherein the Avenger isn't priority #1 in this situation. But with the public plan, that's especially so as long as the singular wolf doesn't think they're the most likely target. Even if the Doctor pulls a bait and switch and covers the Avenger instead of the Violinist (because they've done the math or whatever), I think the wolf would still have to go for it.I don't think they would've gone after Jon regardless. You were unlikely to target Tommy and Jon isn't going to protect an avenger, so either way you were a good kill.
If I was still alive, the plan would still continue. Town can withhold a lynch to not twindle the numbers for a wolf win.Based on Kat's opinion: So let's say I didn't pull my stunt. Benzine said he wasn't gonna check Tommy. I die, Jawneh dies, and nothing changes.
Even if it did make matters worse or lost the game outright, it's still fine.I'm not on Ants! level of throwing holy water on Day 1, but yeah, I did want to take the risk because I felt good about it, and I fucked it up. I'm okay with it because I don't think it made matters any worse, but I can't prove that.
Definitely! I think most everyone with a killing role has killed a townie at some point or another. I'm not sure I've ever done anything useful for the town with my roles.Even if it did make matters worse or lost the game outright, it's still fine.
People are going to make mistakes. Everyone has to acknowledge and be okay with that.
But, still, talking strategy and theories and whatnot never hurts.
Extraordinarily. We've corrupted the innocent, defiled the chosen, brought low the mighty! How does it feel you rascal?
I get we play differently, and that's fine. I was just hoping to convey that you did in fact add to the confusion. It ended up working out in the end though, because there was a decent enough discussion to get to the point, so all is well.@A Subcontractor's Ass you are very intelligent, a very consistent player, and you keep track of things very well. I've even benefitted from your record keeping and knowledge of the roles. I don't mean any disrespect.
I just play much differently and think differently, which I can understand why people think what I did was the wrong move. I was more than willing to take a high risk (obviously) and it didn't pay off. Regardless, the town pulled it off, so a win is a win, I guess.
I'm never going to be the most analytical and tactful player, just like you aren't going to be a high risk, reckless player. I'm not on Ants! level of throwing holy water on Day 1, but yeah, I did want to take the risk because I felt good about it, and I fucked it up. I'm okay with it because I don't think it made matters any worse, but I can't prove that.
Feels like you never get enough time to even tryDefinitely! I think most everyone with a killing role has killed a townie at some point or another. I'm not sure I've ever done anything useful for the town with my roles.
I still love youI finally lied.

It felt good the first two days but by day 3 I was really feeling it. Hence the voodoo plan we rolled with. Once I was the last one standing, my confidence was basically destroyed going up against Benzine. I knew the three of us had unprovable claims but I doubled down on the wrong person. All in all, this was very difficult for me.Extraordinarily. We've corrupted the innocent, defiled the chosen, brought low the mighty! How does it feel you rascal?
You did great, btw.![]()
