Get shushed.

It honestly gets a little tiring getting targeted so early by things so early in these games.

The problem with targeting isn't only that it pisses players off, it's also bad strategy. A player that gets targeted often is an easy save opportunity for protectors.

This is part of the ongoing conundrum I have with Zell's games. You can't possibly cover every scenario in rules and role descriptions.

But on the same side of things - it's tough to accept that questions like this can occur behind the scenes and it gives an unfair advantage. It shouldn't be on players to ask a question about a role to get an answer.

One thought I had is something similar to what Tubby did - he posted a Q&A at the start of Day 1. Presumably because people were asking questions.

Something like that may be a good compromise for everyone for future games.

If tubby is the mad bomber then he messed up by blowing up Joseph Snapple so quickly today IMO. It makes sense not to stack too many kills, you don't want the Mafia or town to kill the same people you already have targeted, but Joseph Snapple was in no danger of being killed today. At least wait until the end of the day and they've already voted somebody else for trial.

This was early in Day 2. I was basically trying to get the point across that we didn't need to worry about the bomber when there were still 10 townies left and all of them have abilities. We didn't know who the Bomber was, either.

Yes I was, so on Day 1 & 2 I had used angry reactions and mentioning how angry I was about Kat's death to try and hint at Angry Man. Obviously Jawneh then died. I had an idea of some confirmed roles for people so was planning to claim Patsy but only if I was pushed for an answer which you then did.

Patsy felt like an unprovable town role with just enough risk to the mafia to claim it.

Nope, this is a brand new mechanic.

I'm rolling out the crazy shit slowly to make it less jarring. Last time was the "Trial" mechanic. This time is Tells/Clues.

Next time is something interesting.

Loved it as a brand new mechanic I thought it added a heap to the game, as a Bomber I spent little time worrying about them as I didn't need to be too worried who I killed as long as people died. I acted like I was helping...

I don't know where it is on low to high end but we have a Ninja. We love it though.

We've made a lot of things in it but if you were to ask my wife what the best things I make in it are - she'd probably say chicken wings, dorito mozza sticks, tofu, and battered pickle spears.

Still a lot I want to experiment with too.

We have a Ninja too! I like cooking like everything in it. I use it to roast a lot of veggies. Because roasting veggies makes them edible.

See above, we love ours too. Perfect for cooking what I'd otherwise BBQ during winter.

After Day 2 - Tubby has no discernible tell. His post was simple and to the point likely establishing he is not mafia.

Here's where things get interesting though..

Tubby disappeared right after post 30.
Then I surpassed 30.
canadaguy suggested I was the bomber to which I said it would make no sense for the bomber to surpass 30.
canadaguy surpasses 30 - and I find out I've been shushed.
There are two people past 30.
The bomber can only target people with the same or less posts of them.
BUT with two potential shush candidates... it would make sense to go over 30 to get shushed and ensure no one suspects you. Insanely ballsy but an incredible payoff if it works.

...then things get even more interesting.
I die. One shush option gone.
canadaguy and Tubby both claim to be shushed.

Benzine is 1000% someone Tubby would target. I believe this whole heartedly.

It's not the logical target though because it eliminates 4 bomber candidates right then and there. However, Tubby could worry about Benzine.

A quick and dirty guilty vote for FR because he has no loyalties. No explanation. If FR is mafia, they're down to 2 and he's SO CLOSE already.

It gives him a target by pure chance. He's under the radar now and could pull it off. But maybe Benzine seered him before he got blown up and the mafia knows who it is.

I would go all in that Snapple is the next one bombed.

This is fairly accurate. I will say this, I misread CGs role and thought I was muted at 30 and went to bed. So the delay and then posting after you and CG was purely coincidental as I thought I was first across the threshold.
Benzine was targeted for three reasons:
1) he posted less than me
2) Benzine probably reads me the best as our countries are basically identical we speak each other's language better (I know it's all English but you get my point) so he had to go when he could.
3) while he does usually haha a lot it seemed to be different this time and there was also the combination of gifs etc. The way he and shortkut interacted Day 1 had me thinking it was those two on the mafia so I picked Benzine as shortkut posted too much that day.

Enter Alu who tries to hint that Tubby has a tell in that post. Bullshit he does. You probably know he's the bomber and want him dead.

I'm not sure specifically about his tell but he's been very obsessed with numbers.

This is specifically why I got shooshed, I had no tell so couldn't instantly clear myself to all townies paying attention. I was completely comfortable with not killing for a day as well, JS just happened to do me a favour.

I want a whole write up from Tubby after this. Did he just use cold reads to find the mafia? Was it luck? Did he care? I know why he let himself be shushed.

Mostly, my initial 4 were shortkut, Benzine, FR and Dean. Which I quickly got to Benzine, FR, Kelly and shortkut. I had an inkling out of that group that Kelly was the Don. I did not cotton on to Zell until Tommy's post and I tried to stay out of participating in that hunt too much as the chaos suited me.

Interesting choice I guess.

Some answers to questions: I thought about keeping Jon alive. But I just had a feeling it wasn’t going to work. I had an absolutely trash claim (nothing). I thought even though the claim was weak Jon had the most credibility of the four left and leaving Jon alive would have ended in a fairly routine village win. Maybe leaving him alive longer would have changed who was jailed, but who can say?
