Evo was this mad but amazing game a lot like Spore where you start off as a tiny fish and get steadily bigger, customising your character's appearance and abilities as you go. It surprised me with its really good gameplay and journey it takes you on.

Some people will argue that MMX2 is better than X1, so another great choice so late in the game.

EVO is such a unique and incredible game. Loved that one. Towards the end of the game it gets hard as fuck though, and you really need to min-max to stand a chance.

Yeah I like MMX2 more

I definitely had to use guides to respec my stats to finish the game. There's a point in the late game where the difficulty curve suddenly spikes massively

A FZero BR game which is just the original game with 99 players and some extras is not something I would have ever bought in to. I feel like most people have been hoping for a other mainstream FZero game.

But then, based on IGN'S quick rundown of Nintendo Direct, it seemed heavily focused on capitalizing on 90s era nostalgia instead of making something for this generation of consoles.

The Direct made it quite clear that dev focus has shifted to the Switch's successor. I think that's why there was so much focus on 90s games, remakes, and B-tier titles (like Peach's Showtime). I think FZero specifically is testing the waters for a next-gen sequel, and I'm hoping (but not confident) that SMRPG is doing the same.

I thought they were going for a beefier Switch. Mostly same tech but better internal hardware so that games like Zelda can run at faster FPS' more consistently.

It'll be a true successor, I think. It's been, what, 6/7 years since the Switch came out? Switch but more powerful is all I need tbh, I wouldn't want them to go back to non-handheld consoles.

I'm just speculating about SMRPG and FZero.

FZero 99 is such a weird launch that a new game coming up is the only reason I can think of for it.
SMRPG has millions of rea$ons to get a remake, so I'm more skeptical of a sequel there, but still hopeful.

Reports say that Switch 2 will be backwards compatible with Switch 1.

Ah yes, my least favorite classic Mega Man game from 1-11. Don't know why it's so beloved but it does have a huge fan base, so it's a good pick this late in the game.... but can it beat THIS:

I was gonna take Castlevania 4, so uhhhh I guess I'll go with Super Punch-Out. That game is frustrating but HELL does it ooze charm. Also a secret 2-player mode was discovered in that game only like 4 years ago lolol
