Japan made it for U.S. gamers because they thought we are too stupid for a normal rpg game to be popular so they made a dumbed-down game just for us. Over there they literally call it “Final Fantasy U.S.”

So I was then going to take the safe pick of UN Squadron as a steal of a final pick, but TD asked for obscure, and I think this Batman game qualified.
