We are halfway through the draft but there's still some verified classics to be found. Things will only get tougher from here, however.

Round 4 Commentary:
This might have been the most even round yet. Nothing jumps out as a massive value pick or a game changer, but I will say that the last two picks of the round were my favorite two games taken. Zell's strategy of a well-rounded roster is something to keep an eye on. No telling if he'll be rewarded once the voting commences. It will be interesting to see how the voting on this initial draft impacts strategies in drafts for future consoles.

Do I pick another platformer? NES was their golden era, after all. There's still a few available that haven't been chosen yet, but... Alas, I have to venture outside my comfort zone.

I was stuck in a children's hospital for a week when I was in 4th grade and they had an NES and a ton of games. But because of the IV and shit stuck into one of my arms, I couldn't really control most of the games.

Except Q*Bert. I played a TON of Q*Bert that week.

I also watched the entire Back to the Future trilogy multiple times and can probably quote the entire saga. But that's unrelated to this, unless someone chooses a specific light gun game.

I only had NES, genesis, gameboy, and ps1 (long after ps2 was out). If I wanted to play SNES, I needed to go to my friend’s house… or play emulators on the high school computers

Personally I feel it's a loophole akin to the demake thing since Famicom is technically a different console but obviously it's up to Vash to decide.

My instinct was no but this is the internet and we have people from all over the world, so it feels wrong to have solely a western focus on the games.

Besides, we don't know how everyone voting will react to it. They might not give as much love because they never played it until the 2006 remake.

I say go for it, if you want.

So my last pick RC Pro-Am was arguably a "reach" and I'm completely fine with that because I loved the game.

With that said - my next pick could be a reach but anyone who's played it knows why I'm picking it.

It competes with the best RPGs on the NES in my opinion...
