The fact that it's all based on opinion of games and there's not truly a hierarchy of games made me think that it's not as necessary.

And also the fact that some people might look at a list of, say, 8 amazing top tier platformers and choose to vote for a list that has a well rounded mix of genres.

The poll question will be along the lines of "Which of these lists would you rather buy?"

It's a real toss-up for me next, but I think I'm going to go with Castlevania.

C3 pushed the NES to its limits and had some really cool mechanics, but the US version was way more frustrating and difficult than the Japanese version because of the rental industry. It may be less technically more impressive and complex, but Castlevania 1 is still my favorite of the NES trilogy. All you needed was a man and a whip to have a good time.
