Never had a ps2. Highest I went for Sony devices was psone and psp

We didn't even need the PS5 Pro, won't stop them from rushing out the PS6 before it's needed.

Game devs are only just now getting a handle on the PS5.

Imagine how minimal the improvement of 6 over 5 would be. I can see myself skipping that PS console gen entirely -- especially if those games would eventually be backwards compatible with PS7 (I'd still be working on my backlog by then)

The only thing I see differently from PS4 to 5 is the framerate improvements. Yeah sure the games look a bit better but it's not drastic. I played GoW on PS4 and Ragnarok on 5, the only difference that stood out was the smoothness of the PS5.

I'm sure there is more to the improvements, but in my casual sense, it wasn't a big jump.

I'd assume the next console would just standardize quality mode at 60fps and contribute to make games even more expensive and time consuming to make.
