Zell Wolf The Cemetary

Yeah.

I think Local legit did a great job in trying to claim my role and make me look bad but that concept does a lot of heavy lifting.

Plus once he claimed Spirit Seer I knew I'd get another check in because killing me would just out him...which is still a major issue I see with the wolves claiming immediately. The moment the role they claim is killed, they're basically outed.
I was just trying to disrupt the vote enough for a townie to get lynched. I figured it was the only way for a non town win. Even if I had to sacrifice myself the next, by making myself an obvious target and to delaying the Jawneh and Tubby double death, plus Alu alive to help.

And then those traitors voted for me night 2.

Well maybe we can talk about a way to adjust it. What I'm trying to avoid is everyone going in wolf chat and saying "Vote this person" with information that they've gotten during the day. When used correctly the 2x shadow wolves can be basically game breaking, you are taking every kill opportunity the village has and using it against the village. The closing of wolf chat is trying to at the very least curb it's use against the most powerful village roles.

Also I like the idea that the wolves have to kind of "organize in the open". You guys were trying to use codes to communicate who to vote for day 2. Love that.
Yeah, I agree being able to talk to each other on the same day that you use the shadow wouldn't be fair.

I'm not really sure how to adjust it - right now it feels like the wolves think they have to use it early to gain the ability to talk.

What if the adjustment is something to the effect of - you can talk during the day, but as soon as a wolf sends a message that day, you cannot use Shadow until the next day?

It would still give that feel of blind communication on shadow days but also not make the wolves feel like they need to immediately use it.

I will say that the number 6 has been pretty heavily looked into in the last two games. IDK why.
69, dude, I’m telling ya!
To be honest - I hate Shadow Wolf, even as a wolf.

Does it have a niche use? Yeah.

But cutting off communication for 24 hours of every 36 hours sucks.

You can't adjust plans, some players benefit from bouncing ideas off eachother, less experienced players may want advice, you can't pivot during the events of the day, can't tell someone to get more aggressive, dial it back, or claim a specific role...

True, I wasn’t a wolf and thought the same thing. You get double votes, but wolf chat is such a big thing to lose that you have to wonder if it’s even worth it.

Also people griping about the RNG, and I get that, but keep in mind it was put in place because some players were being targeted on night 1 way more than others. Sometimes the RNG does weird things, sometimes it screws you and sometimes it blesses you, but it at least keeps things fair. I’d rather we keep it rather than go back to how things were before.

If we needed a fix, maybe make it so there can’t be two of the same role? Or if there is already one of that role, the odds of the RNG picking it a second time are tweaked way lower.

This combination basically ended the game day 1
But if a wolf lies about being a seer and points the finger at someone else, it ruffles things. If even temporarily.

Let's say you come out Day 1 and you're like "Holly and Tommy Boy were checked, it came back red" - that shuffles things up.

Is Raine likely gone still with two targeting her? Yeah. But then it's easier to cast doubt on Day 1 of Vash, Holly, and Tommy.

On the subject of RNG, there are like six different aspects relating to three different sets of rolls

I’d be more than happy to lay out my issues with all but one, with that one only applying to me anyway

But broadly, I just think it’s a better game when player agency matters

Like if Ants/Preacher gets “randomly” put onto the Instigator team, basically every townie is in here complaining :chuckle

Bad beats happen all the time

It’s nothing major

Can happen without blind pulls

Maybe feels a bit better if you feel you “deserve” the scrutiny as opposed to someone “not caring” which number they choose and getting got though, in like the example of three people selecting #1

You don’t, say, argue against that. There’s nothing to argue

You just die :shrug

Ideally it would be nice if the Instigator could pick his people. But it's gotta be a wolf and a villager.

I thought about letting them give me a list of numbers/people and the first wolf on the list and first villager on the list get paired. But then thought that would give them info about every person on the list they DIDN'T select. Like say they list:

shortkut
Vash
TD
Raine

and the pairing is shortkut and TD, then you know Vash is on the same team as shortkut. BUT, the instigated wolf is just gonna give the team up anyways so maybe I should just let them.

16 people shitposting in all of it's glory.

Plus a day of nothing but cold reads is fun to me but I'm probably part clinically insane.

It was dependent on game and host, yeah

We had easily 15 different hosts over a couple years time
The old forums? Almost everyone who was playing games with consistency hosted at one point or another. We actually had awards that were given out for best game hosts and most creative game concept and such.
