Playing Civ VI with Crystal last night. We did a game on marathon speed. I was playing as Arabia with a build focused on a combination of science & religion, with a little more emphasis on science for that research.

We also dealt with a lot of barbarians. There was a spot in the game where like 3 barbarian camps spawned in 3 consecutive turns. Also, the barbarians somehow managed to get horse archers very early in the game. It was ridiculous. -__-

The newer version of Star Wars (Empire at War) came out nearly 19 years ago and is still updated. It hovers around the top 300-350 on Steam charts which is pretty impressive.

I think I played Dawn of War with Jamie once? I definitely played Supreme Commander 2 with him. My strategy was to use him as a human shield whilst I built up an immense economy in peace.

Beat the Conquests of Alexander scenario on Deity difficulty in Civ VI. Got all of Persia, Scythia, and Egypt conquered in 36 turns. Had to skip a couple before I took the last city because I had to have a total of 11 cities settled in order to get the 200 score for the achievement. It was quite the challenge. ^^

Damn... Not only did I not expect to pull 2 wins out so close together, this one I ended up taking out 20% of the other players. And finishing with a crown.

I attribute it entirely to the other players sucking just a little more than I did.

Gave AC Shadows a go. Unfortunately since I was playing in HDR it saves as a jxr screenshot and the conversion to SDR isn't perfect - the greens look a little oversaturated.

I decided to upload the JXR file if anyone is interested in how different it is. HDR imagery is in a bit of a mess format wise. I'm not sure exactly what supports it, but I know the Photos app on Windows 11 does and I believe iOS does too.

From what I've heard so far, that's what this game is. Good not great. Repetitive and same old formula for AC. I love the franchise too, and will play the games. I will likely not play Yasuke at all unless he's forced on me from what I've heard. Naoe is more what I want from my AC game play than a brute force slow moving mountain.

GIMP doesn't know what to do with this filetype (even being recently updated), but Windows 10 Pro photos does.

Probably, but I don't care to.

I'd still have suspected an actual image manipulator to have more codecs than Windows though.

I bet VLC would have opened it.

Soooooo, how similar would Assassin's Creed Shadows be to like... Tenchu: Stealth Assassins?

Because the little I've seen about AC: Shadows made me remember how much I loved Tenchu, but don't wanna disappoint myself.

I could of course do my own research on reviews and stuff, but that's not as fun as just asking y'all.

Edit: Bushido Blade was also tight AF. I miss that title as well.
