Yeah... It's evidence.

I also got a huge fucking welt from being bitten by something. Perhaps a horse fly, as one was caught in the net window of the tent when I collapsed it. I had no easy way to kill it, so it just trapped it to die a slow death for its crimes.

Because ouch.

That doesn't look like a horse fly bite, or they breed 'em different up there. If anything, that reminds me of a wasp sting.

I got something similar on my armpit. I presume it will either heal or my arm will fall off.

Definitely the latter. My initials are "MD", so, I'm like an expert. Sorta.

Maybe. There was something in the tent and I thought it was a horse fly not a wasp, but it was through a net to so knows?

I recently stayed a week at Diamond Lake and visited Crater Lake while in the area. For those of you unaware, Crater Lake was formed when a volcano exploded then imploded, and it's the deepest lake in the US and some of the cleanest and clearest water in the world. Here's a panorama from one of the many outlook points:

The water is truly that color in reality. It's so pretty.

This is Wizard Island, called that because it's supposedly shaped like a wizard hat (I can't say I agree). It's a mini volcano inside of the caldera. I mean, mini compared to the other one, it's still 800 feet above the lake and about 7000 feet above sea level.

There was a whole lot of snow! This was only a couple of weeks ago. They get something like fifty feet of snow a year and it's only without any snow for a couple of months in the summer.

Diamond Lake is a bit less visually impressive, but it has the advantage of being able to get into the water without climbing a steep trail that has a 700+ foot elevation change.PXL_20250623_201636970.MP.jpg
That's Mt Baldwin I think?

I forgot the name of this mountain, but it looks like the perfect location for a super villain lair to me.

We saw these incredible rainbows while there. I'd never seen anything like it. (These next pictures aren't mine.)

This one you can't see the rainbow as well, but it did have all the usual colors:

I'd just like to say all the pictures that accurately represented colors were Pixels, and that one which somehow didn't capture the rainbow colors was a Samsung. :tease
