I figured either farmer or loud mouth. If he's a second avenger, then this could get interesting.

But I never saw him post any hints. Not that I'm always perceptive to those anyhow lol.

Its true he could have just  voted.

But in a similar situation against the same tactic it absolutely could have saved the day.
I was not online anywhere near that point. So I was neither able to vote, nor would I have been able to protect myself.

For Jon: I know it wasn't your intention to play against your win condition at this point, but it looks like most people are assuming it was. Just be ready for that.
I'm already hearing it man. The moral of this story has become, don't play any way than what everyone wants and expects you to or you'll be relentlessly hounded at how you done fucked up. :shrug

But you had already made a conscious decision to not vote, well before the switching occurred.

Can you walk me through your thought process there and how that was going to help lead your team to a victory?

I said unless it was needed to help the town. And voting there would have. I was distracted playing with my kid and didn't count votes, or I would have put in a vote long before.

Why on Earth should me making a fun play be criticized this heavily when we've had people killing with impunity for ages and it's just "oh lol, that was funny" even when it costs the town.

The ONE time I've played with a little self service and I'm a pariah? Guys, this is why people takes breaks and leave. And it's why I'm absolutely taking an indefinite LOA myself. This behavior is illogical to me and I'm not sure these games mean enough to me to keep doing this. To myself or others.

I'm just trying to understand the thought process, not trying to harp.

I'll shut up.
I've explained my process. I'm fine to answer questions. I'm really not mad. I'm just confused as to why I'm being targeted for a relatively small "social infraction" and yet we've had others legit kill half the town and people just laugh about it.

I don't understand why now and what I did was so egregious. And all the responses have been "because you hurt the town" or "you weren't playing your win condition." Which is both untrue and I'm entitled to have off games in terms of attention given to it.

I'm not about to tell anyone to shut up, and if you have questions about my intentions or decisions, I'll answer and truthfully. But I can't promise it won't be frustrating when I feel very targeted because I'm not the household names who are apparently allowed to fuck up and get it laughed off.

I don't think it's especially egregious. I've seen and DONE worse plays.

I think it's because of the combination of day 1 and day 4, added in with you originally being very vocal about just trying to keep the game interesting for you.

Normally when people kill half the town (or let's go with 2 people of a gunner misses twice) it was a swing and a miss as compared to what came across as doing it on purpose. You didn't do it on purpose, but it's the way it reads to other people.

And I think that's the real difference. It had been originally coming across as "I don't care if this makes us lose it's funny to me" as opposed to "I think this is the right move" and having it be a mistake. People not yet in the dead thread haven't read your reasoning behind anything yet, so they only saw the first part, where it came across differently than your intent.

Yeah, a lot of my earlier agitation came from how cavalier you seemed to be with what amounts to other people's time and effort.

As for missing the vote at the end of day 4, I can't think of a better reason than the one you provided and I'm sure everyone else will feel the same when they are privy to it.

Let me preface this with everything has been amusing to me, and I literally lol'ed when I saw you saved Jawneh, so I don't mind it at all.

However, I agree with the others, it's because you flat out said you thought Jawneh was evil, but you wanted him to stay alive anyway for your amusement. It's one thing to use that as a reason to vote differently, but it's another to use your power to override the will of the town and help the evils. If you'd said you thought Jawneh was a fool and you didn't want the game to end on the first day, I don't think anybody would've cared that he turned out to be evil.

I also think people are used to townies getting killed by townies, but evils being saved by townies is a different thing that feels worse even though I think mechanically it's not really.

It could also partly be that the town hasn't won in a while, it keeps coming to a deadlock between evils, and that might be frustrating some people. That's not your fault, of course, but people point fingers more when they're not having fun.

It sounds like we need a silly meta game.

All I ask is that people try their best to win for their teams. If you are trying, and you fuck up, we’re good. If you aren’t trying, I have a problem with it even if the result is good (for example, a completely random Day 1 shot that happens to kill a wolf, which I believe Local did once).

I don’t mean you specifically, just “you” in general.

So what would be the play here? Wolves kill kut and hope he has dimmerwit targeted and that dimmerwit tries to go another day of dousing without killing?

I imagine dimmerwit targeted one town and one wolf last night to try and keep the numbers even, but can't be sure of that.

This play may have forced kut to move the target to a wolf. Which would give dimmerwit the chance to go another night if he wants to risk it.

Keeping it interesting for sure.

I definitely had it on a wolf this last day, but prior to that I was bouncing between dimmer and the wolves. I’ll read this thread shortly

Town just needs to vote a wolf and leave it to Dimmerwit to decide their fates, right? Leave the game in the hands of dimmerwit. Don't give it to the wolves.
Yes exactly. It's the only option that has a potential (no matter how unlikely) win for the town.

Though dimmerwit just needs to tag all the townies and let the lynches be of wolves.

Who were Jawneh's two checks
He didn’t do any
Did he immediately relquinish his powers?
So he dicked around, did nothing and was saved from a lynch?!
And told everyone he was a wolf team immediately

@Jawneh, clarification, pls. I thought you did use your checks and then posted them live for all to see.
