That's why I'm confused about the concept of Irish coffee. Don't get me wrong it's fucking delicious, but it's a stimulant and a depressant at the same time lol.

Actually about 16 or 17 years ago while I was still attending LSU, I suddenly broke out in these really bad hives for no apparent reason, to this day I still don't know what caused it. I didn't go anywhere I don't normally go and I didn't eat anything unusual, and I'm not allergic to anything. And it never happened before and never happened again since. But still, for over a week my whole body and face would swell up and get red and itch horribly, so I had to take these really strong anti-histamines. Problem was, I was still in school and it just happened to be the week of final exams, so I couldn't afford to be sleepy (I also commuted rather than live on campus), so every morning I would stop and get an extra large coffee and put two of those concentrated highly-caffeinated espresso shots (that have a warning saying don't take more than two a day) in it, so all week I was walking around in this fuzzy haze while really strong stimulants and depressants went to war in my system. It was wild.
