I fucked this example up with my screenshot tool, but something we could do in here is "what would you do"

I was gonna share the earlier stages of this screenshot - when they had a 10 power Galatctus, I had a full board (same as what you see), they had just snapped at the start of t5... What would've you done?

Except next time I won't fuck the screenshot up haha.

How do you see their cards on the side? Is that if you play on iPad?

That Annihilation Conquest Ultron variant is excellent.

I got Flaviano Heimdall. Which is cool, but I don’t really play Move at the moment.

I’m actually playing Infinite to win this season because I finally have decks that can compete at that level. Supergiant and Thanos performing well, as is a Kingpin/Darkhawk mashup I made which has Spidey, Polaris and Magneto to move cards to Kingpin, and then Korg, Darkhawk, Nebula, Zabu, Shang, Jessica, Doom to give me flexibility. I think it’s partly getting wins because people just don’t know what’s coming and it’s disruptive. I got 8 cubes off the number 3 ranked player, which was nice.

So what deck/archetype does everyone like the least? It’s Hela for me. Just seems like so little strategy to it and so much luck. It’s blindingly obvious what it is from the start, and it can’t really adapt to anything. It can put a lot of power on the board when the cards fall right, and can deal with flooded locations and Sanctum etc. But personally I prefer decks where I can adapt my strategy depending on the locations, the cards I’m drawing and what my opponent is doing. And I prefer my opponent to be adapting to me too, rather than just discarding high power cards and then Lockjawing them or putting Hela down at the end. On a practical level I’m not sure I’ve ever lost more than 2 cubes to a Hela deck either, because I can literally see what will happen on the last turn as the game goes on and can pretty easily figure out if I can win or not.

My least favorite is Destroy. Mainly because too many locations (including the current Hot Location) are helpful to the deck, when it's already consistently one of the top tier decks.

I typically enjoy Hela decks  because of the luck element. But she is way too strong of a deck right now because of power creep. A deck with high random variance should not be a top tier deck.

My version of Lockjaw/Hela isnt the usual "BUNCH OF BIG CARDS" take on it. I run Silver Samurai and Moon Knight to disrupt the opponent as well. Less consistent, but also less braindead.

I think the number of times that I have to retreat to it probably factors into my dislike of it. As you say, it shouldn’t be as strong as it is when it requires almost literally no strategy.

How's everyone's trip up the ladder going?

I had kinda stagnated at about 83 for a week or so, partially due to not playing much on my vacation.

Last 2 days I've shot up to 97 though.
Same as the last couple seasons. Got to high 70s and now just stagnating against constant tech cards.

Im not sure how my opponents fit their full deck and every tech card just in case.

Did have fun with this one earlier though. The peak (before I played magick mid) hit cerebro and my only regret is I didn't get to see how many I could stack.

I was going to be able to play a free cerebro on turns 2-7 (shout out to my girl quake letting me double dip the cloning vats) and copy one with mystique. Would have given every 3 power card plus 14 lol

My goodness I think I finally have a decent Mr Negative deck. It's definitely fun.

Got me my infinite for the month
Mr negative was one of the first decks I really wanted to build, and when I finally got it I was stoked.

even now when I get my wombo no one sees it coming.

then 6 Iron Man, Mystique and Zola on an empty lane. I don't think that wombo has ever lost for me.

ATTENTION THE GREAT AVENGER HAS SOMETHING TO SAY

Took 4 pulls to get gladiator. And got a duplicate for the mystery card even though Avenger is missing a lot of series 4/5 cards. Feels bad man. Only 14 keys left.

THE GREAT AVENGER HAS SPOKEN :smash 🤨
