No. I'm not a big fan of playing Pokémon Go.
It's slang for location games like the one @TD tagged me for in this thread.
I still play PoGo and it is in no way similarI mean, I played Pokemon Go for maybe ten minutes but I don't think this game is comparable to Pokemon Go myself.
Oh I meant for me it's buried but I just go to latest posts like a caveman and don't watch threads.Oh it's not getting buried, we just need a place to track all the rounds and road blocks and math up how points and such will work. Easier to keep those in separate threads and outside of PM
This isn't a complaint, but there's too many posts that I'm missing hahaOh I meant for me it's buried but I just go to latest posts like a caveman and don't watch threads.
Catchy subject titles never mattered more! This isn't a complaint, but there's too many posts that I'm missing haha
"COME SEE TDS TIDDIES"Catchy subject titles never mattered more!
I mean I'm pretty sure that would only capture my attention."COME SEE TDS TIDDIES"
now that I have you here, let's talk algebra
Will do!
I'm pretty sure you could straight-up anagram some of the actual names and I still wouldn't be able to guess 99% of them! Pictures? Pfft~I've never watched it either but from what I gather, we're basically teaming up with a partner and determining geographic locations based on pictures from Alubby.
Done, I've added you, Tubby and all three admins in case you need anything
I don't even know how one would anagram a picture. You'd think I would know but I don't, I thought that was for word games like Scrabble and Bananagrams.I'm pretty sure you could straight-up anagram some of the actual names and I still wouldn't be able to guess 99% of them! Pictures? Pfft~
But yeah if someone else wants to wander around the starting position in a clown car with me I'm okay making a go of it so everyone else remains in the game longer.
If I read the earlier posts in a different thread correctly, Raine and I have agreed to be either a clown car or a stripper, or both...so...that's a thing.I'm pretty sure you could straight-up anagram some of the actual names and I still wouldn't be able to guess 99% of them! Pictures? Pfft~

I think we're team Crystal Raine in a Clown Car. A tiny car with a stripper in it.So you're Team Penguin Posse?
Fuck it, I’m inI think this game is going to be awesome, so I'm gonna pester people to join.

Oh yikes, my bad!Unfortunate timing, CAFM. Tubby isn't going to be able to host this game, unfortunately. He has some personal life stuff going on and there's a possibility he might not come back.
I'm still here though. I'm hopefully going to have time once I come back from my next work trip (I go to Zurich next week).Unfortunate timing, CAFM. What else ya gonna do in Zurich?I'm still here though. I'm hopefully going to have time once I come back from my next work trip (I go to Zurich next week).
No guarantees on it.
I'm gonna eat a lot of cheese and chocolate. What else ya gonna do in Zurich?
ALl my work trips are to the US, it'd be nice to go elsewhere.
no skiing? Perfect time of the year to go skiing in the Alps.I'm gonna eat a lot of cheese and chocolate.
In addition to not skiing, I also won't have enough free time for something like that. My physical activity for the week will be running by the lakeno skiing? Perfect time of the year to go skiing in the Alps.
Shame. If I went to Switzerland in the winter, I'd be sure to try to hit the slopes if I could. In addition to not skiing, I also won't have enough free time for something like that. My physical activity for the week will be running by the lake
Geography not your strong point?I had to google where Zurich is and now I'm immensely jealous. Enjoy it.
Nice, I find pictures fascinating but it's not quite the same as you.I loved geography when I was a kid. I used to stare at maps and follow the roads to see where they went. It was like exploring new places from the comfort of your home. I liked to imagine what places were like. I still occasionally do that on Google Maps, but not as often anymore. I don't think it's as good as my mind wants Google Maps to be.
I'll say this: flight prices from Canada and hotel prices within Canada are insane. They're not a good representation of travel costs compared to almost anywhere else in the world. For example if you flew to Cambodia, you could comfortably live off of $30 per day.Nice, I find pictures fascinating but it's not quite the same as you.
I do really want to travel but with costs of everything and everything going on in the world, it's been a back burner idea for a while.
I don't know about Cambodia, but I had a port call in Bocas del Toro, Panama 10ish years ago, and they have 4 star hotel that was less than 100 dollars (USD) a night.I'll say this: flight prices from Canada and hotel prices within Canada are insane. My one-day budget (incl hotels) in Canada is like a week-long budget in a place like Vietnam, where you'll have the best food you've ever had in your entire life for like $3.Interesting.
This is good to know for when it comes time to travel again because I do tend to use Canadian expenses as the measuring stick.
I do not know how to ski. I've been once in my life.you're not telling me you fucks know how to ski
are you guys even good at games or what? are you really from the internet if you are considering skiing?
Also I think I remember seeing it's cheaper to fly from the US to Canadian cities than it is to fly from one Canadian city to another in most cases. My one-day budget (incl hotels) in Canada is like a week-long budget in a place like Vietnam, where you'll have the best food you've ever had in your entire life for like $3.
Yeah I believe it, but prices have gotten better for domestic Canadian flights recently. Probably cause people there can barely afford to live, let alone travel within Canada. A flight from Halifax to Yukon only cost like $400 one-way I remember seeing. That's pretty good considering it's like half the world awayAlso I think I remember seeing it's cheaper to fly from the US to Canadian cities than it is to fly from one Canadian city to another in most cases.
Other people may have stayed in hostels. I didn't like the idea of staying in a room with a bunch of people.Yep, even flights and hotels within most of Europe are cheaper than the US. I used Cambodia as an example of super cheap. I'm sure Panama would be comparatively inexpensive if you didn't mind staying in sub-4-star places, too.
You can book pensions or single rooms in a hostel for cheap.Other people may have stayed in hostels. I didn't like the idea of staying in a room with a bunch of people.
Depends on your interests. My favorites have been Vietnam and Romania. Eastern Europe is fun -- cheap, high quality, and ripe for shenanigans. Cambodia is pretty crazy too (with some very fascinating and soberingly dark history), and that country opens up the door for easy travel to Laos and Thailand. What are the best/safest places to visit that are also on the more affordable end, outside North America?
Happy to answer any questions any timeI've literally jotted down all these places.
Thank you!
