Luigi pulls a strange blue stopwatch out of his pocket and hits the button on top. It flies into the air and does what's happening in Rick's gif. A blue aura spreads across the board, and suddenly all the shopkeepers flip their CLOSED signs to OPEN. Nothing else happens.

Welcome to a 20 Turn game everybody. Just for fun, at the end of this next mini-game I'm going to write down who each of the bonus stars would go to if the game was ending. I won't reveal it until the game actually ends (feel free to do the 27 pages of counting yourself though), but it'll be funny to see if Luigi would've won anyway. Things are a lot closer than people might think just by looking at the scoreboard. As a reminder, bonus stars will be given to the player who received the most coins in normal mini-games, the player with the highest coin count at any time, and the player who landed on the most Happening ? Spaces.

The watch vanishes and Luigi steps on a red space. -6 coins as punishment for your actions.
Not sure how this is handled in the real game, but I'm going to say because the watch's effect isn't active yet, blue and red spaces will still be doubled this turn. But as for the shops, I'm saying fuck it and opening them for Lumalee (and technically Goomba) since the only reason they close on the last turn is because there would be no point in buying them.
