Holy snap, you got a hypnodisc!

I got a talisman of baio once and made the worst trade deal in the history of trade deals, perhaps ever
Yeah that's the one! I forgot about the game for a bit and had a whole bunch of adventures or whatever I could go on and then stumbled into that weird dude to beat to get it.

Looks like it might be.

Fun fact about Scramble. Before Scramble, sidescrolling shooters featured wraparound levels like Defender. But Scramble is the first or among the first to have A -> B level design. It was also the prequel to Gradius and Super Cobra. Super Cobra is more like Scramble (and got more ports than Scramble did), but Gradius really helped make side scrolling shooters what we know them to be like today. But Scramble was where the genre got its biggest innovation. It's just sad it didn't get many ports. To play something like Scramble without emulation, you need to play Super Cobra.

As a wild outside guess in case Jawneh is wrong, I think the style also looks similar to The Witness.

Interesting facts! Scramble really is a great game. There's a great risk/reward to the gameplay, and timing of the bomb drops is really satisfying when you pull it off right. I really enjoyed the game.
