Okay so we're definitely going to need badges for the winner of each console in the Great Video Game Draft. I was thinking a badge of the system's controller for each console would look really good.

TD made the good point that once we hit Playstations, this gets a little muddied.

Maybe a badge of the system makes more sense?

Gotcha. My thoughts for the PlayStation ones would lean towards the system logo, but technically… we could probably pull off the controllers as well, using the gray controller for PSX, the original PS2 controller with a length of cord hanging off, the original PS3 controller without a cord, the PS4 controller with the touchpad, and that goddamn super white one for the PS5. Y’all’s call, though. Console logos are also an option, since they’re a bit easier to distinguish, but they’re bland comparatively.

I’m working on the August update thread now, but when I’m done I’ll get to work on adding those new badges… starting with NES since that’s what y’all are on now.

PS2 - dual shock with the thumbsticks
PS3 - black controller
PS4 - this is where I am stumped

That’s my concern… but we won’t really know until I throw some up there side by side to see how different they look.

PS4 has the visible touchpad and different button orientation, but that MAY be tricky to spot on a 32x32 badge.

That’s the #1 reason for my brand loyalty over the years… with the #2 reason being the original X-Box controller and N64 controller back in the 90’s.

It'd be nice to have stylized ones (like those pixelized ones I linked earlier) that make them look more uniform but that's probably too much.

That’s exactly why I tried to hunt down ones with the cord and slightly askew to differentiate them, but I don’t think it’ll hold up well shrunk or on the dark style.

Apparently from PS4 onward they stopped feeling like making pixel art readily available on Google…

Controllers on the other hand seem to be a little easier to find, but still not exactly what we need since I can’t seem to find a decent png for the PS5…

Annnd this is where I landed before I ran out of pixel art versions. I used placeholder images for the PS4 and PS5 just to finish their set out for the time being. Considering doing the same for X-Box.
