sorry, Dean
Not because of anything you did

Just a combination of bad luck, dumb mistakes, and second guessing.

We almost killed Cole out of the gate with Berserker, then we second guessed. We actually spent 3 pages of our wolf chat talking about killing Cole on Night 2. Then Tubby identified shortkut as a seer, and we knew Alu would be brought back, so we figured the town having two seers would be worse. We didn't realize there were four. The game was pretty much lost at that point. I got on late today, not that it mattered, but I would have blocked the Jailer killing me by using the Nightmare ability on Warp again. At least go down fighting, or give Raposa a chance to try to weasel out, but it was moot.

I don't know. This game made me realize I don't think far enough ahead of come up with good enough complex strategies. We took the easy win on night 0 with killing Alu, instead of using that information for a bigger strategy. That being said, there being three other seers, plus Cole being on the town's side, made it an uphill battle.

I'm really not trying to be a prick when I say this, but it is a lot harder when you are part of the wolf team than it looks like from the outside. It's easy to say in hindsight that we should have killed Cole, which we almost did twice beforehand, but we wanted to "save" the Berserk ability past the very first night and knew he was likely protected, and we took shortkut out because we didn't know we had four seers, which rendered doing so moot. We also couldn't agree on when to kill Cole, and we should have pulled the trigger, but coming from people who also died early in the game, the criticism made me roll my eyes.

Anyway, the fact people started being assholes in the end was just annoying. If I wanted to feel irritated with people and be called stupid, I wouldn't have played the fucking game to begin with. So yeah, I'm probably not playing again. Have fun. Hopefully Zell's tweaks make it a little more even.

Bud, there's a reason winning as wolf is worth 4x more than winning as a townie. You guys made some missteps, but you are right. It's hard!

I appreciate that, but at the end of the day, I don't think I have the mind or patience for this. Everything ended on a very negative note and ruined the game for me. I don't want to feel this mad or frustrated over an online game.

I hope you'll come back to playing man. Sorry if anything I said early on offended you as well (not sure what would have been included), as the earliest person killed in the game with your reference to early killed players making judgements.

I think this thread can just be frustrating for people reading it after the fact. We have nothing to do BUT judge in here.

I'm not good at thinking far ahead and struggle with indecisiveness all too much. But this is still a fun game to play despite me admittedly being a bad player at it. I agree it was an uphill battle though. Even if we had 'zerked Cole (or taken Zell's advice a lot more in mind) I'm not sure if we ever really had a chance. Of the four of us, the only one that I really see as a potentially aggressive player is Kit.

This is honestly how I feel when I play. Kind of dumb, not intuitive or advanced-thinking at all. Like everyone else knows more than I do or picks up on the little cues. I think it'll get better over time but I respect your decision to sit out the next couple. Don't take it personally man, in the end it's just a game but your feelings are valid, all good to be frustrated for a bit. Hope you join us again soon!
