Reason being, if a cupid tried to pair up someone that was instigated, it wouldn't work I guess. So it's never been allowed. However, it's not on the usual first post or anywhere in the roles listing. That's why I was convinced something was wrong. Everything honestly makes sense now. But damn lol.

Had I known the possibility of a cupid existing, I would have never shared my wolf scribe plan since the cupid team could use the same strategy, which they did to the letter. Everyone ignoring my plea except for Vash and FR makes sense too.

I really think the issue was that the instigator/cupid rule was confirmed mid-game (Zell #20) and the first post of that game, and all games the followed, were never updated with the conditions being outlined. I had it on my spreadsheets going forward in the rules corner, but I am now noticing that no game every included the language. So, I can see why this happened and how it wasn't caught, and there really isn't anyone to blame. Somewhere along the line, we just didn't update the rules, and we don't have a "first post" template anywhere - we just borrow the one from the previous game each time.

So maybe, after this game, we just make sure the language is clearly spelled out. If I remember, the wolf bot even had the restriction of one instigator or cupid per game, but not both. Even after the testing, that condition didn't make it anywhere. So yeah, what a mindfuck lmao.

Yeah, this isn't why I was pissed.

I was pissed I wasn't allowed to play the game because of someone else's unilateral choice. It's not fun, it's not interesting, and I gave up.

Anyone that's played with me knows I'm the first to make the team/sacrifice play. Zell decided "fuck you" to me and took me completely out of the game. Then threw a "if it makes you feel better I was throwing you under the bus anyway" response when he outted himself as instigated in wolf chat. And no, that doesn't make me feel better. it makes it more dickish. Dimmerwit was killed early. I was thrown under the bus with no conversation or hesitation and Kut has reaped the benefit of playing hide and seek because we well hid Local.

All it would have taken was a "hey, do you mind if I out you to strengthen my seer lie?" I would have been all for it and he wouldn't have even had to reveal himself as instigated. It's simply the "I'm making your decision for you" part. And it's another reason I say fuck Cupid and Instigator. Those roles are fucking abhorrent.

Problem with that is the Cupid pair isn’t decided until after the night is over (because some of them might die). So in order to do that, you would have to rob the instigated pair of knowing that they were instigated during Night 1, when they could very well be working against their own interests

I didn’t say a word about you until Day 3. Vash had marked you before that. You were dead no matter what I said. I was just trying to earn SOME credibility before your inevitable death as the last unclaimed person who was already being called a passenger.

I couldn’t wait until you got online to ask. The day opened very early, and I had already missed my chance the day before with dimmerwit because Alu beat me to it.
